what to do after dentistry?

i am doing undergraduation in dentistry. cud u tell me career options after this? except a masters program in dentistry itself…

I’m curious, is there any reason you’re going into dentistry, if you don’t want to become a dentist? It’s not like the stuff you learn there could be applied in a variety of fields, because it’s pretty specialized.

i know i feel i have done a mistake. and now i dont know what to do? like i dont wanna specialise any further in dentistry? like i either wanna do my phd in english literature or a degree in environmental sciences? what is ur advice? i just feel so confused.

You could go back and do a bachelors in environmental science, if you wish. You’ll have to start from square one though as the knowledge and courses for both are very different. If you want a PhD in English Lit, you’ll ideally need a good background in Eng Lit, which you won’t get through dentistry (or envi. sciences for that matter), so you’ll be pursuing a different path. As such, dentistry is rather incompatible with your other chosen fields, so you’ll have to start from the beginning anyway.

This is just my opinion though. Some other people might feel that the skills are transferable. As I mentioned in my PM, post a message in the College Search forum where you can get more (and better) input.
