What was your TOEFL score?

<p>I just did the TOEFL and scored 273!</p>

<p>Is this good enough for Ivy League (harvard and princeton)?</p>

<p>Should I retake it?</p>

<p>The test was very easy for me I was really stressed and rushed thorugh it and I got very boring topics over all: opera, geology and that type of stuff.</p>

<p>it does not have effect…trust me…as long as it passes 250…everything is set…worry about other stuff…</p>

<p>i got 263 with 6.0 on writing is no difference with ur score when adcom compares 2 profiles…</p>

<p>btw…TOEFL is more a checking test to see whether u have sufficient eng skills than a comparable scoring test …</p>

Nooooooooo !!! look it doesn’t matter if you got 300 or 253 … you just have to score above 250…thats it…its like a cut-off, so dont go through the pains of giving it again, 273 is perfectly ok :)</p>

<p>TOEFL is a mere formality… anything above 250 works. </p>

<p>If your SAT verbal is good, some unis even waive it</p>

<p>Its defly not a prerequisite…not a mandatory document for applying for a visa. Altho you never kno, the interviewer can ask for any transcript so its always safer to have ur TOEFL scores.
Plus, the scores are valid for about 2 years or so…and its an easy exam. Might as well give it n get it over with :p</p>

<p>GoCollege, I got 263 and got into Penn, John Hopkins, Tufts, Boston U, UCSD. If your score appears mediocre like 200–, you should retake it. But your 273—I consider it stellar.</p>
