my school district doesn’t recognize any valedictorians or salutatorians, and our system of class ranking is rather unfair (several students ranked above myself have made B semester averages while I have made only A’s, and non academic classes such as band and the first couple years of foreign languages are counted as 6 points on a 7.0 scale…), but anyways…
this guy ranked number one in this year’s senior class had a 2380 SAT, and is attending Wharton. I know one or two others with the same SAT score, one attending Princeton. A girl with ~2330 attending Rice (rather than CalTech, because of money). A good number of people got 35s on the ACT, but idk about 36’s. There are several other students attending ivys and as many or more going to other top 20 schools. Class of 1200 in a competitive public school. Last year’s class was the inaugural class, and I know one girl who had a 2380 and went to Duke, a guy with a 2220 who went to Columbia, along with the guy who was ranked 1 (idk his SAT score) and again several people with 35’s on the ACT.

My class so far is not as impressive, albeit we have <700 whereas the previous two were 1200+ and 940. Only myself and my friend have scored in the 2300s, and he and another girl have a 35 on the ACT.
