What work of art has inspired you.

Do y’all think that sign language would be considered a form of art? I want to use it, but dont want to vary too much from the prompt. Thoughts and suggestions?

Note that the question does NOT ask what has “inspired” you. The actual question is:

"What work of art, music, science, mathematics, or literature has surprised, unsettled, or challenged you, and in what way? "

The implication here being you are asked to write about some “work” that changed your mind or challenged your beliefs in a profound way. The question is looking for how you process and deal with information from a different or unexpected perspective. Are you open to new views, debate, and information that challenges your beliefs? It is not looking for a story of personal inspiration - unless of course that was borne out of your being surprised or challenged by a work of art. I would find it difficult to focus on sign language in and of itself. Maybe through the act of signing and interpreting a piece of art, or watching a piece of art, or reading of a scientific work, through signing, you may be able to find a link. Good luck.
