This September I’m going to be a junior in one of New York City’s specialized high schools, but I haven’t been doing well in my classes freshman and sophomore year. What would you suggest I should do this year to turn things around?

Grades for freshman year: (Term 1 final grade, Term 2 final grade)
Music Appreciation (Term 1): 80
Art Appreciation (Term 2): 80
English: 90, 90
Japanese 1: 80, 85
Global History: 75, 70
Geometry (Term 1): 90
Honors Geometry (Term 2): 90
Physics: 75, 80

Sophomore year:
English: 88, 85
Japanese 2: 85, 85
Global History: 70, 80
Honors Trig: 88, 90
Chemistry: 90, 80
Technical Drawing (Term 1): 99
Computer Science (Term 2): 97
I also took a Math Team class this year, which doesn’t give a grade.

In my junior year, I’m taking AP AB Calc, and I’m starting to self-study for AP Psychology. I wanna try to get into Boston University and Hofstra University, but I also want more ideas of universities in the Northeast. Any advice? Thanks
