Whatcha Doin This Weekend?

Pic of the set up in front of their house and dh and me on the red carpet. Both of these pics were just snagged from the arrival video, so not the best quality. I hope the one the professional photographer took was good - it was a bit windy.

Thanks! Outside my comfort zone. I don’t normally wear clothing with, “holes” :joy:. That one on the waist and the high slit are not my normal M.O. But, it fit right in at this party where over-the-top is encouraged.

Sadly, you can’t tell just how obnxiosly pink the dress is in this pic either. It was practically fluorescent/glow in the dark/neon.

Took a paper making class with my daughter and sister. My daughter invited us and we all enjoyed it. I hadn’t made paper since I was in my 20’s.

I had a lot of fun with a fellow social worker friend, first at the International Center for Photography, then around Chinatown where we had excellent soup dumplings sharing a table with four young tourists from Belgium, one of whom will be doing an internship at the UN starting today. Then to my old friend, a Chinese medicine doctor, who gave me a rigorous acupressure massage. A really nice day.

We’ve already received approval for our global entry! Yay! We got conditional approval last July, so it’s been a long wait to find an appointment we could get to.

Then we went to Arlington to have lunch with older S and now on the way home. While waiting for lunches we hit wegmens. Oh my. Y’all who live in such lands where such beautiful amazing grocery stores don’t know how lucky you are. H and I were like kids at Disney world. And we hung out upstairs and snacked and h drank his coffee. It’s just amazing. Our grocery stores don’t even have a salad bar let alone anything else.

It’s been a nice day/weekend

I know your Global Entry is good for 6 years, but apply for renewal the second you’re allowed to. I applied four months before my husband’s was due and seven months before mine was. It took over 13 months to get renewal! They were so backed up they honored expired cards but it was a little unnerving since we went to Europe during that period.

I’d like to say that I had an exciting weekend.

Instead I did a deep dive on the Princess of Wales photo.

Explored conspiracy theories all over the web.

Daydreamed about where I should vacation next.

Did walk the treadmill while binging Netflix. Watched the golf series on the treadmill but husband and I are seemingly watching all the Harlan Corbin series and watched some of The Gentleman.

Today I watched Ryan Gosling sing at the Oscar’s at least 5 times.

What a productive weekend :woman_shrugging:
