What's a good type of business to start in high school?

I’ve read in magazines about how people have sold handmade things and made money which they’d donate to charities. That sounded so cool to me, so I wanted to ask if you guys would think that people would actually want to buy these things.

That sounds interesting. In terms of college admissions, I think your choice should largely depend on your intended college major. If you’re planning on entering a STEM related field, maybe try starting some sort of gaming or website design company. Otherwise, you could start up some sort of non-profit related to a specific field, or if you’re intending to go into an art major, hand-crafts could be suitable.

Or you could just do something that you like and are passionate about. I think that’s a really cool idea and although it will definitely be a struggle to get started but if your product is high quality and unique then go for it! “Advertise” on your facebook page to get those initial sales and reviews. I think etsy would be a good site for that.

I did iPhone repair. You need a couple hundred dollars to buy parts and tools from China then you can advertise on Craigslist and Facebook for free! In my area, there’s a lot of demand for iPhone 6 right now.

One thing that people love is customized school supplies…

Your name is “potter head”…if that refers to Harry Potter can you make things like friendship bracelets in the Hogwarts House colors? E.g. maroon and gold for Gryffindor, etc.

Or make little Fimo dough charms of various Harry Potter things…broom, owl, golden snitch, etc etc
