Happy New Year!

So lazy today. Thinking a hamburger and Kraft mac 'n cheese and a frozen blueberry pie I’m about to put in the oven. So healthy! lol

baked whiting(fish) with herb and garlic seasoning, roasted cabbage and onions, barley with a little butter and garlic, apple slices.

^ Oh, you’re just making me feel bad.

I’m debating between mac & cheese or baked ziti.

Lilmom, my DH made a fab lasagna Xmas eve. It had lemon zest in it - which gave it a very different taste. If you’d like the recipe, let me know.

Was going to do spaghetti and meatballs but think I’m changing to crescent dogs (hot dogs in recent rolls) because S loves them and he’s still home. Homemade broccoli cheddar soup on the side.

sewhappy- I made hamburgers last night. Now the Kraft is another story. I used to love that stuff as a kid.
I have chicken breasts that need to be cooked. I also have at least 20 ripe small avocados. Not sure what I will do with them. Last night we had guacamole on the burgers.
Has anyone had luck freezing avocado?

sewhappy, gotta be able to hold my head up on the WLFD’s and Diet,Fitness,Exercise threads!

Hamburgers for the hungry younger guys, mushroom walnut bulgar burgers for their parents.

5 buck cluck from the grocery store.

Since everyone is feeling a little fluey, chicken soup, Asian style – saw a recipe for it in the paper today. Now, if I can just find that paper . . .

mom60 - yes, I regularly freeze avocado. I mash it and squeeze lime in it, place in a ziplock bag and freeze.

I was going to make squash soup for the first time. First step, roast the squash in the oven. Well, after it was roasted the brown bits looks so crispy, I didn’t want to lose that in the broth. So I just ate the squash :). Lucky, it is just me tonight.

emilybee, would you please post the lasagna recipe? I was thinking of making lasagna and really dont have a go to recipe. Thanks!

Meat. The vegetarian has gone away for a couple of days. :)

Chicken and veggie stir fry over quinoa

Vegan pumpkin chili over a baked potato…

I found leftover ham in the freezer so we’re having split pea soup tonight. D doesn’t like it so I also made mac and cheese (from scratch).

i made sweet and sour cabbage soup, also orange chicken. enough for a few nights.

DD made tacos and spanish rice. So nice to come home from work and dinner was finished.
