Hey all,
When the whole CC system changed in August, I was way too lazy to update my username/password, but for those that have been here more than a few months, you may remember me- same hahaha. No more fights though
Anyways, Iâve been on here for a few years, but now Iâm beginning to see that CC just doesnât seem as laid back anymore. Too many sensitive people and too many arrogant people. I mean, I know that everyoneâs super-dedicated to getting into a good college (sophomore year I started a thread in what are my chances for havard lol), but at the same time it doesnât mean that we canât be chill doing it. For those that have only been here a few months, you may not relate to what Iâm saying. For all you others- is it just me? Perhaps it is, but I remember beauty contests and polls for who has the coolest name. Recently, that kind of fun seems to have died down a bit.
Well thatâs pretty much all I had to say. Good luck you guys with your studies and life in general. Remember to laugh!
Hahaha
P.S. Sheeprun (if youâre stil around) and other moderators- sorry if this doesnât really fit the bill on College Admissions, but I didnât know where to put this. ;)

hahaha, i know what you mean. i agree people have become way more sensitive than on the old forum. i cant explain it.

Yea, I guess maybe itâs become more geared toward no-nonsense objective posting- but that nonsense was the most fun of all! I mean, now, if I posted any of what I used to, a good 75% would be thought of as mean or deemed irrelevant!

hahaha, i remember u from the old boards

good memories? ;)

Another fellow zero posts poster.

i remember u were a genius in math/science and debate. how did everything finally turn out? did u get into any summer programs u wanted to go? did u get in early anywhere? i mostly remember u from the RSI threads.

a genius? compared to some of the other people I remember, like xiggi and serene and countless others? HARDLY. But naw, I got waitlisted from RSI and instead chose to do the summer student program at City of Hope Cancer Institute- I loved it there, so it all turned out well. And I got 7th or so at nat. finals in Debate. Went against the guy who ended up getting first place. Wow that was a sound beating, but it was really fun! Ooo Iâm so mad about the USAMO though last year! grr see I was under the impression that AMC qualifies you for AIME and AIME qualifies you for USAMO- I didnât know they combine your AIME and AMC scores. So I did the bare minimum for AMC and then got a 9 on AIME but still wasnât high enough. haha sorry, random complaint!
Deferred from Yale early. When I first found out (parents were staring at the computer screen too) the first thing I said was âYES!â They thought I was crazyâŠbut Iâm just happy I wasnât rejected flat out.
So how are things going for you?

hey hahaha, I wanted to pm you or e-mail you but it wasnât available. I am a junior now but your situations for what you did and stuff are really close to mine and so I had a few questions. You can e-mail or pm me. Thanks ;)
