Anyone had their FAFSA approved? or any college(s) received 2024-25 ISIR Files from the education department?
My sonâs FAFSA (2024-25) was processed yesterday. We submitted it on 12/30, and it was âin reviewâ prior to 3/11.
did you receive an email when it was processed?
There was no email. I checked the portal and noticed the change. After processing, you can print the complete summary. FWIW, there is a note that corrections will be permitted ~ on 4/1. To add a school, that is a correction.
Where did you see the complete summary? My fafsa has updated to Processed also but the summary isnt listed anywhere.
There are some FAFSAs being processed & some being sent to schools. Itâs all part of ramping up slowly, so no one will be able to make changes yet even if theirs is processed. While itâs frustrating, at least itâs evidence that weâre getting closer to the time all FAFSAs get processed & sent to schools ⊠after which schools will finally be able to work on packaging aid.
Did it give you an SAI? Same as the original estimate?
It does provide the SAI, and it was worse than the original estimate (meaning my son now qualifies for less money). The Pell Grant was also less than the original estimate.
Ours still says in review. Submitted early Jan and we need to make a âcorrectionâ as it was submitted without a signature. (We were never given the chance to sign.)
Sorry to hear that. I thought they were adjusting for inflation and it was supposed to get better.
Spouse and I can login to FAFSA but only spouseâs shows as submitted. Applicant could login but sees an error message after logging in.
Can I ask what you think about all of the schools that have a March 15th priority deadline? but we canât add schools etc. Do you think that deadline is going to be a hard deadline?
We are in the same boat
We stopped trying. D24 picked a school where it did not matter for us. But, prior to that it never worked. We tried. We called. We emailed. We reported. Zip. Zilch. Nada.
I canât speak for those schools, but I would hope that they exercise flexibility.
April 1? Yikes. What about people who applied to more schools than allowed for the FAFSA and need to add additional colleges.
Our is still âin review.â This is ridiculous.
My twins got theirs in January 2. Both still listed as in review.
Ours is still in review. We submitted 1/2/24 as well.
Submitted 1/2/24. Still âin reviewâ.
