My brother and sister-in-law just completely shocked me by having a Keurig coffeemaker sent to me as an early graduation gift!

They also sent me a 24-pack of a variety of different K-Cups. I have an email from Keurig (since I registered my machine) saying that if I buy 2 boxes of K-Cups, they’ll send me an additional 2 for free.

So far I’ve tried the Donut Shop brand (Chocolate Glazed Donut flavor, which I loved) and the Green Mountain brand (French Vanilla flavor…not so much. A little weak for me.)

Which flavors do you all like?

I like sort of “medium” roasts…I add creamer so it’s not quite so bitter, but I do like to know that it’s COFFEE I’m drinking.

I like a full flavor, not bitter coffee. We just got a Keurig at my office a few weeks ago and I’ve also been trying different varieties. I love Barista Prima Coffeehouse Italian Roast. Even the decaf is really good. For mid day when I want caffeine, but not full strength, I make this one Green Mountain Coffee® Half-Caff Coffee. I like brewed ice tea too so got this - Celestial Seasonings Half and Half Black Perfect Iced Tea and really enjoy that.

I rather like Jamaican Me Crazy. Also Newman’s Own Special Blend (Extra bold). My Keurig has spoiled me. I buy a $2.50 venti cup of regular blend from Starbucks, and think, “Meh.” You’ve received a wonderful gift, HisGrace.

I know it! I’ve been wanting one for about a year so I was VERY excited when I opened the package the only (and I mean ONLY) downside I’ve found so far is that it’s a smaller model so it doesn’t fit a travel cup…so I just brew in a mug and pour it into said travel mug. Hard times. >.>

Just finished my Kahlua and Cream coffee. I mostly use my own grounds as the K-Cups get expensive. I have some Timothy’s Donut Shop that I like (no Dunkin Donuts here so I can’t get those to try). I have some flavored coffees that are not bad but I don’t like those for every day. I like the Breakfast Blend (Green Mountain) that came with my Keruig. I usually make a large travel mug size each morning-run the brew cycle through 2 times for one K-cup.

My favorites are the green mountain golden french toast, the gloria jean macademia nut cookie, the caribou morning daybreak, and the regular caribou. I like the green mountain breakfast blend too, but it isn’t a favorite.

I drink a lot of coffee. I wasn’t into flavored coffee at all until I started tinkering with the keurig… but my favorite non-flavoreds are the caribou.

I think it’s hard to recommend coffee because it is such an individual preference but…I really like Dunkin Donuts Dark Roast. It is smooth and strong enough without being bitter. I also like Tully’s Donut Shop.

Does anyone else find that some brands vary from k-cup to k-cup? It seems so strange to me that the same brand and flavor can have such different taste from one cup to the other.

The drip tray does slide out, but it’s still not quite tall enough to fit my travel mug. The model they got me is for hospitality (like for putting in hotel rooms), so I think it’s made for smaller mugs. But I don’t mind in the slightest :)

Thanks for all the recommendations! I’m still slowly making my way through the samples but I didn’t have time for coffee this morning, so no updates yet on which is the frontrunner.

We have a Keurig and are fortunate to have a lovely little shop which sells individual K-cups so that we can sample them all. This is the perfect situation so that you can purchase one or two k-cups of a flavor to try them out. The Jamaica Me Crazy is good and is very popular and often sold out at this particular store.

For me, I prefer flavored coffees and like the Wolfgang Puck’s French Toast, Timothy’s Kahlua Cream, and Gloria Jean Irish Cream. Also, there are a few iced coffee and iced tea varieties which are good. These are made to be the correct strength once poured over a cup full of ice, so that the results are just perfect.

If the drip tray slides out and there isn’t anything underneath, you could put something under the machine to raise it up. There are K-cup drawers that the machine can sit on…you could pull the machine out a bit while the taller mug is filling and then push the machine back after use.

Of course, if there still is something underneath, then that won’t work.
