When do AP exam scores come in the mail?

I know in July.
But does someone know the exact date?

depends on where u live…

when is it for MA?

second week of july usually for NE states.
third week of july for SE states
first week of july for W states
first-second week of july for Middle States

Question: What does the paper that has our grade actually look like? What does it say? Does it just say that you got a 3 or something? Also, how do we know they didn’t send us the wrong paper? I took AP Human and it was my first AP Exam.

early_college - I threw mine away when I cleaned my room a few weeks ago, otherwise I’d show it to you. It has your name, address, and other information on it. It keps a running log of all APs you’ve taken. There’ll be a list on the paper. It’ll say “AP Human Geography” on the left and whatever number grade you got on the right.

Thanks! It was my 1st AP and I’m so nervous to what I got. I am hoping for a 3 or 4 and then next year show that I can improve my scores. I got a 80 and 82 without the 10 points in the class overall. He said I prob. get a 2 or 3, I hope I did good.

Colleges really don’t use AP exam scores for admissions, so don’t worry so much.

Last year I got my scores the 28th of june. But all my other friends got there’s in July. So idk when Ill get mine this year. lol

where do you live bananapop

wait, where is collegeboard sending them from, specifically? their headquarters in new york? or somewhere else?

I live down south, but idk where they are sending them from.

If I may differ from Keasby Nights suggestion that APs don’t matter in admissions: they do. College use APs for admissions in two ways:

college look at the rigor of your course load; if your school offers APs but you don’t take them, you look a bit light weight.

Colleges like to admit students who they know can handle college level material. What better indicator then scoring well on college level material while still in high school.

Olin engineering and Memorial both rearrange there curriculum assuming that all students would come in the door with AP Calc, AP Physics and AP Chem. Its just a given.

UC “recommends” 17 contact hours of AP level classes; if your transcript does not show APs then you are not competitive. The average Stanford applicant has between 5 and 6 AP exam credits on his application.

Remember, college applications are based on Junior year classes, grades and exams.

They matter, if your school offers them.

Having AP classes matters. However, schools tend not to look at the exam grades as much as one would think. Please read my post next time.

I take the hardest classes, all honors and one AP. I’m taking the same next year, I was going to take 2 AP’s but I didn’t have a foreign language. I’m just worried if I got a 2, will that hurt me? I want to get in college’s like USC, NYU or some liberal arts schools like Sarah Lawrence. Thanks and I don’t’ know why I’m so worried, but everyone in my class was gifted and I wasn’t.

PS: I will have about 6 AP classes the time I graduate high school. I don’t want to take too many and all in Social Studies and LA. I could take AP Physics, but I usually get a B in Honors Science courses and why should I take a class I wouldn’t do good in? I plan on majoring in print journalism, screenwriting or maybe acting. I have never taken an CP class.

Getting a 2 on an AP test does NOT kill you. I know this is just one case, but a girl from my school got a 2 on AP Physics, reported it, and still got into Harvard, MIT, Princeton, Cornell, and a lot of other top schools.

I edited my post to let you guys know more info. But im concerned because AP Human is suppose to be the “easy” AP. I am def. not wanting to go to Harvard. I think Northwestern or maybe Yale would be the highest I would go. But I just have a 3.2ish GPA now and I got two 72’s on my transcript from math and I have an 83 and 84 on it too. I just didn’t have a good freshman year, but I want to turn it around next year.

Well just so you have a realistic idea, I would say that both Yale and Northwestern in the grand scheme of things are pretty much on the same level as Harvard.

i took my first AP this year- World History…the nerves are starting to get to me. I hope I get a 3 or 4 :(

I know Yale is, but I think Northwestern is a lil worse. I have two years a head of me, why will they not be able to see past a 2 on a AP test or a couple bad grades.
