Vassar-- a woman. My husband is a Vassar grad and the most common thing people say to him is, “Isn’t that a women’s college?” Depending on his mood, he either shares that it has been co-ed since 1969 or deadpans, “I used to be a woman.”
P.S. I think Chrchill just wanted to play this as a game, right? To joke about assumptions rather than to reinforce them? At any rate, that is the spirit in which I am responding.
Why are you asking this question? Does it matter so much what others think of you based upon the label of your school? The name of your school should not define you. Break the cycle. There are many reasons people choose colleges and once you land your first job, it just won’t matter at all.
