When marriage is a publicity stunt

Youdon’tsay, I think “there” may have been something else… Kim’s ass-sets.

They are on TV. Any restaurant on Triple D is instantly famous too. TV is a very fast fame creator. Kate G got famous for having too many kids. If she were not such a ***** she’d still be making a nice living off that minor accomplishment.

I read that she and her family netted over 17 millions from the wedding. Everything is not only donated but they get paid for using certain items in their wedding. People magazine paid them millions for exclusive rights to some coverage of the wedding. Of course she has her reality show and I also heard that she is being paid $10k for every tweet she does. This is amongst many other fees she demand for anyone to have access to her. What a racket?

I didn’t know she got married.

EK - welcome out from under a rock ;)

Our D who is 15 loves watching Keeping up with the K’s and watched the wedding…twice! I cannot stand it for a moment. Our D “knows” it is fabricated but still she watches. Yet, she was very surprised that they are already filing for divorce. I think she is too young to accept that they would go that far. I agree that they are all opportunists and I hope this stunt is the one that is the straw!!!

Couldn’t avoid hearing of the K clan, and had ignored them, but now watching one of them because of Dancing With the Stars. Interesting how “stars” are chosen, what makes them “stars”…

I’m sorry, I’m not a parent but I still wanted to post on this thread.

I could not agree more. I don’t understand what people see in her, or the other Kardashians for that matter! They’re so self-centered and have no substance whatsoever.
I saw that divorce coming. Kim just clearly wants to be in the center of attention, she got that 2 hours E! special and magazine covers from her wedding and now that it’s over, she wants the attention back. Pretty much, she didn’t want a “marriage”, she just wanted a “wedding”.

She has almost eleven million twitter followers! That’s a big number. The top 2 trending hashtags on twitter are #ThingsLongerThanKimsMarriage and #kimkmarriagewasshorter
People love watching a train wreck.

I’m just very thankful that no children came out of this marriage. These people are trash and it’s not an environment to bring a child into.

I hope Kim at least gives her pawn the ring back…

What is wrong with American culture that the VIEWERS would give this woman any attention at all? If the American public stopped watching the show it would be off the air within two weeks.

The media will always stoop as low as the viewers will let them.

Agree- I guess I will go crawl back under my rock now- it’s nice & peaceful there.

Things longer than Kim Kardashian’s marriage, according to Twitter:

From @Seth_Rogen: “Kim Kardashian’s ‘singing career.’”
From @lizzwinstead: “The flavor in a stick of Fruit Stripe Gum.”
From @PBSGwen: “Herman Cain at #1 in the polls.”
From @TobeyMonster: “[Lady] Gaga’s real name.”
From @ChristyAnderson: “However long it took to find Nemo.”
From @AshJed: “Dora the Explorer’s pause, when she is waiting for you to answer her question.”
From @A_MgDee: “The hashtag #ThingsLongerThanKimsMarriage.”

And of course, from @SoVeryAwkward: “That awkward moment when the list of #ThingsLongerThanKimsMarriage is longer than Kim’s marriage.”

Nice timing… Her mother’s book comes out tomorrow, doesn’t it?

not sure how to add a post to the twitter hashtag, but I’d say her last name is longer than her marriage!

My goodness, unless one of them did something beyond despicable the marriage should have at least lasted 6 months. 72 days is just plain weird.

I tuned in a year or so ago and when I saw the results of Bruce Jenner’s plastic surgery, I shut off the TV. My recollection from 30 years back is that he was a good looking man - now he looks creepy.

Never watched the show and only recently realized the Kardashians are not a race of aliens from one of the Star Trek series. I read about this marriage breakup online, and the picture accompanying the story showed the lower half of a man’s face and the forehead and eyes of a woman. I guess that’s what happens when a basketball player marries an alien, so I can’t say whether I think she’s uncommonly beautiful. Still haven’t figured out what she’s actually done, if anything. And for the record, I’m a member of the American public, the 99%.

She’s done nothing but shake her booty. If her late dad hadn’t represented OJ, the name would mean nothing (and apparently to many it stil doesn’t)

Those are Cardassians! And they were in fact a bit better looking that Bruce Jenner post-surgery.

now I feel like Emily Litella.
