When someone has B.O. or stinky breath, what do you do?

After reading the various posts in the “How do u guys freshen up for school!?” thread, I wanted to know what do people do when someone has B.O. or stinky breath? Do you:

A) Grin and bear it to be polite
B) If possible, quickly find a way not to be close to them
C) Or slowly inch your way out to not make yourself not as noticable
D) Politely and quietly tell them about their odor
E) Bluntly tell them about their odor
F) Offer them a piece of gum or a mint or casually spray some air freshener
G) Other or a combination of the above choices

It depends on who’s the offender for me. If it’s a friendly but stinky stranger, I say nothing because they may get offended or embarassed if I told them. If it’s a friend, I may tell them in a joking way like, “You need gum ASAP!” or give subtle hints like, “It’s so hot out here and people are so sweaty.” Family members I never tell. I don’t know why, but it seems that that’d be beyond embarassing to tell your mother that she smells.

A, B, and/or C.

Lol, I definitely tell my mom when she smells. With my sister, I’d use F; with reallyreally close friends, D, and with everyone else, A or C.

A, B, C 10 char

ABC. Or if i have a pack of gum, i take it out, I chew it, and if that person seems like they’re semi-looking at me or was in a conversation with me, then i offer them one. personally i don’t find this rude, everybody always asks each other for gum in my school so offering one isn’t much of an insult.

bo… thankfully we never have problems with bo (:

if it’s a family member or a close friend, E. anyone else, A. That’s just the way I roll.

If it’s someone I don’t know very well, then I will do A, B, or C. If it’s someone I know well, then I will do all of those and maybe F. If I did F though it would just be the gum, I wouldn’t spray air freshener next to them haha

D in all cases.

C .

ABC. And I never really encounter bad breath, but when people offer me gum, I jokingly say, “Is that a hint?”… They never get it. :</p>

A) Grin and bear it to be polite
B) If possible, quickly find a way not to be close to them
C) Or slowly inch your way out to not make yourself not as noticable

It doesn’t happen too often, thankfully. Although two years ago this kid who smelled really bad sat two seats behind me in religion class. Well, I didn’t get the full effect of it; the girl behind me did, and she told the teacher that she wanted to be moved. They got into an argument and the teacher didn’t move her. I thought it was funny. The kid who smelled never noticed a thing, and he also never stopped smelling.

abc + i breathe thru my mouth to avoid the smell ^^

But then sometimes you can taste the odor in your mouth stixx. That’s never fun.

Maybe I’m surrounded by people who don’t put much emphasis on personal hygiene, but I come into contact with either B.O. or bad breath almost daily. (And no it’s not me. LOL)

Make a thizz face and make a 180 degree turn.

Direct Family = E
All others - A+B+C
