When the "kids" come home for the holidays

I was worried he was bored, that he often would be in his room doing things,

I could have written this! I am regularly offering up “activities” - day trip into NYC to catch a show, etc. Most are turned down.

DS told me that because he lives in a city with lots to do and plenty of friends, he welcomes the downtime. Doing very little seems to be exactly what he wants!

Same with D19. I mentioned today we are thinking of winter break in Europe this year and her first response was “oh I like to just chill at home for Christmas break” (then got excited about seeing her cousins again, so…)
