We also live in the boonies…and there isn’t a hotel within 15 miles of our home. If folks want to visit with us…enjoy our lake, or just visit, having them here is really the choice. We have never had anyone “vacation” with us for a week, however. These visits are usually several days at the most.
People have to go.out of their way if driving to get here. I can’t imagine telling relatives or close friends we can’t have them spend a couple of nights here…UNLESS we already have company or plans.
