The upward trajectory is clear and any damage was done freshman year - and many colleges will be forgiving of that. Are these weighted or unweighted gpa’s. Please confirm unweighted. What are you looking for in a college, and which, if any, do you have on the list right now?
You should talk to your counselor. They will know best where kids like you go.
But we can not recommend schools. There are hundreds for you but we don’t know your budget, the school size you want, where in the country, if you want city or rural, big sports, Greek life, what you want to study.
What’s your highest level math ? How many sciences and how many years of foreign language do you have ?
its weighted. unweighted should be similar as i took AP classes only in Junior year so unweighted in junior year will be 3.9 instead of 4.1. i am looking at Ohio State, indiana kelley, Case western, babson, tulane, nyu
Assuming you are going to major in business - NYU (Stern) would be the only one way out of reach. The others are all ok to apply to, but I would suggest 2 safer schools.
I think Ohio State would be in range, and maybe IU and Case as well. Babson and Tulane will need an ED for them to be in range. Overall, you are shooting a bit too high.
i am in a very competitive private school outside US,highest Math is AP. I have 3 languages and have grown up in 4 countries as my parents moved around internationally.
You might have a pretty good chance at Case Western Reserve. But a similar school where you’d have an even better chance would be University of Rochester. Tulane accepts 60% of its early decision applicants. So, if you apply ED there, it could boost your chances.
Could you please do a complete chance me/match me thread answering all the questions on the template. What you have provided here is a snippet of that info.
He can give a shot. Last year you needed a 3.8 and 1370. This year it’s holistic - mainly because they let too many in.
That’s what I based my assessment on.
But for entrepreneurship, there are better schools with U Houston being a home run.
The student is looking at name, not major.
There’s very few studies but it’s high in US News and #1 in Princeton Review and if you look at their website, there’s definitely heft in the program. Charleston (where my daughter went) has a minor but an entreprenurial center and a lot happening with it.
