<p>This is my first post, I thought Iād put it here rather than anywhere else.
Iām Mihai(Michael in a sort of name translation) and Iām an undergraduate student at the University of Bucharest, Romania and Iām currently studying the area of geophysics. I have 20 years old, Iām year 2(out of 4) and Iām quite interested in applying to graduate studies in the US when I finish my bachelorās degree here. The area Iām interested is planetary science(or letās say more concrete, planetary (geo)physics). Also geophysics and some other geological related areas of study could interest me(magnetometry, paleomagnetism, seismology, tectonics, marginal plate tectonics, geochronology)</p>
<p>I stumbled upon this site when searching for universities that are very good in these areas. I would like to make steps in addmision early on because I know this is quite a scrupulous process. In my country the addmision is not the same as here and for that reason I donāt know where to start reading ! :)) Iām quite newbbie at this one.</p>
<p>I would thank you very much if you can guide me at reading about which are the best universities in those fields of study that I said in this post, if planetary science is the way to go if you have a BSc in Geophysics and a general addmision guide from which I could get to know what do I have to acomplish in these 2 years so that my dream could come true! </p>

Reopen it and India + Pakistan representation will start leading within a week. Thereās sooo many of us on CC</p>
<p>^ undoubtedly. But I think itās mostly because applicants from these two countries consider english to be almost like their second language, and hence find CC easier to use.
China, for instance, most definitely has more applicants than india+pakistan, but its representation here on CC is exceptionally weak because english is less commonly spoken there.</p>
