Where is your HS part 2

Every year my school seems to have this target school that EVERYONE (slackers) goes to… making it … High school part two
this year it is Cal State San marcos. at parties they chant CSUSM!
or community college

Anyone else?

Probably SFU.
But I wouldn’t say that SFU is only for slackers necessarily. It’s just close by and lots of grads from my school go there (bright and not-so-bright). Admissions averages aren’t that high and it’s fairly easy to get in (not because of low difficulty, but because of a lack of applicants…Canadian universities have different problems than US ones for sure!)

Santa Barbara Community College gets a huge shipment of our kids every year.

Cornell perennially. We get 20ish kids in a year.

The majority of people in my school go to either South Texas College or UTPA.
I don’t want to go to those two schools for personal reasons :D

University of New Hampshire. SO MANY kids from my school go there every year, it’s discussed as the next step of the ladder in my town’s schooling system. Like, local elementary school, local middle school, local high school, UNH. That’s how it goes for so many people.

Not necessarily slackers, but Millersville University is intensely popular. Their education program is good… other programs, not so much.

PennState is for the slightly better students who want a bigger school/better education/more parties.

Then there’s the local community college.

Other choices include Shippensburg, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh University.

My guidance counselor was appalled when he saw my college list- he wanted to know why I wasn’t applying to PSU. I am SO annoyed that every good student at our school is just expected to go there- I’m going to a better school where I’ll get a better education and a better fit! Rawr.

Grand Valley State.
Or Schoolcraft Community College.
Sometimes Madonna University.

Michigan BTW.

IPFW… for the true slackers
and Ball State for the smart grades

15-20% of the last two graduating classes either went to SUNY Morrisville or Onondaga Community College.

Cornell perennially. We get 20ish kids in a year.

Oh really? We get 45 kids per year into Cornell and it used to be higher.

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Atleast 90% of your school’s population goes there…darn squibs

UWSeattle… probably somewhere near 100 go there a year…

University at Buffalo, Canisius College, or Erie Community College

91 kids to University of Michigan from 2001-2006 of a graduating class of around 65. 7 to Kalamazoo, 15 to MSU, 9 to Yale, 8 to Wesleyan, 10 to WUSTL, 5 to Princeton, 5 to Kenyon, 4 to Harvard, 4 to Georgetown, 4 to Emory, 6 to Brown

Brevard Community College. XD

Other than that, UCF or USF or FSU.

Villanova (usually about 7-10% of our senior class ends up toing to Nova).

1/3 of kids go to Ivies, and most of the others go to highly ranked LACs and other universities.

Cornell is pretty much the “safety Ivy”, though, so it’s probably either that or NYU where we send the most kids each year.

University of Miami

University of Pittsburgh, Penn State…
