<p>Interesting… the third option that came up for me is a suburb where H and I just started going to open houses in a couple of weekends ago (motivated by the retirement thread). Glad to know I’m on the right track. The first two would be too far of a commute for H.</p>
<p>Hilarious! It came within two blocks of my house! (But they are two important blocks – crossing a natural divide between neighborhoods. My neighborhood is a little more diverse politically than the next one over where everyone agrees with me. I have neighbors who are actual Republicans.)</p>
<p>It put me in NYC if I said urban and out in the sticks if I didn’t. No I don’t want to live next to Bard College! I actually live in a town which is majority Democratic, but there are enough Republicans to keep them on their toes.</p>
<p>Well, I’d have to move to a big city, rather than my more residential section. Not really surprised that I am more liberal than most of my neighbors.</p>
