Where's my paw pal!

(anyone gotten their paw pal yet/any info about the program?)

I haven’t received anything since I filled out that form either!

If they don’t send them soon, we aren’t even going to have time to correspond before we get to Princeton, especially people who want to communicate via snail mail.

Nothing for me either.

i have just been contacted by my butler buddy…thats not paw pal is it???

You mean your Butler RA or your Butler roomate? Either way, it’s not your pawpal, unless there is a HUGE coincidence! :p

I just got an e-mail from the coordinators, I have a paw pal, hurray!

I excitedly checked my mail, but still no pal for me :(

Yeah, definitely none for me either. This crap is bananas. B-a-n-a-n-a-s.

Wow, I ABHOR that song. shudders

Grr…I just checked again, and…nothing, except for some email from SCI about ordering computers (I didn’t order one from SCI).

I do too. But I quote it a lot. The words have a way of entering your brain and rendering it helpless to stop them from replicating themselves and reproducing through your mouth. Yeah…

I know, it’s like a virus. Awful
I’ve been getting all sorts of songs stuck in my head lately, most of them very annoying…
like the theme song from Arthur (yes…the cartoon >.<) I admit it, I like the show! :o

The theme song from Arthur is THE catchiest song in the history of mankind.

Thank you for getting it stuck in my head just by mentioning it.

lol, I thought “the song that never ends” was the most catchiest…
Now that’s going to get stuck in my head…eesh

Oooh, a bit of news:

"Dear member of the Class of '09,

Thank you for your overwhelming response to the Paw Pals program! […more happy friendly stuff : )…etc etc etc…]

…You are receiving this email either because

A) You’ve listed the US and one other country (or more) as your
countries of origin/countries you most identify with/countries you have
lived in, or,
B) You’ve listed a non-US country (or two) as your country of origin but
given us a US mailing address.

As a result, we are unsure whether to classify you as an American
student, and match you with an international Pal, or classify you as an
international student, and match you with an American buddy (due to the
much higher number of American applicants, most of the pairs are ending
up being American-other country pairs).

Please reply ASAP if you consider yourself primarily an international
student and would like to be matched with an American Pal. If you are an
American student, we are really bummed that there aren’t enough
non-American students to assign every American student a Pal, and thank
you once again for your interest. (But don’t worry, there are plenty of
opportunities at Princeton for you to engage your more international side!)'"

looks like they’re finishing up, but they’ve a surplus of pal-wanting Americans.

So I guess you should identify yourself as an international to get a pal!

I guess that mean no paw pal for me, but I did get contacted by my Butler buddy…

Yep! I replied that I’d spent almost exactly half my life in the US and half my life out of it. and that I’d take an American pal to go please.

Maybe they’ll hook me up with you :)

^_^ i was so excited when i got my paw pal letter. Pythias, are you out there?
