Which Canadian universities should I apply to as an undergrad from the US?

I am an American high school student planning to apply to 3 Canadian universities.
Which schools (out of the following, or add if you have any) are the best for studying biology and/or psychology? Which are good for international students?
McGill University
University of Toronto
Carleton University
University of British Columbia
Queen’s University
Dalhousie University
University of Guelph
University of Waterloo
University of Regina
Memorial University of Newfoundland
More info on these schools is welcomed, and if any current undergrad student at one of these schools (preferably an international student from the US) is willing to help, please reply/give me your email address. Thanks!

I am an international student applying to Canadian universities too. I ll be studying Cognitive Science , something which is somewhat similar to what you want to study. I chose McGill and UToronto. I chose them because of the Location (Montreal, Toronto) and their worldwide academic reputation.McGill is a great university, Montreal is bilingual (French, English) but if you don’t have a clue about French (like me) don’t be afraid. Montreal seems a more alive city compared to Toronto. More culture and more nightlife. I read Toronto is more business oriented (although I’m not sure about that). Both schools attract lots of international students because of their high international reputation ( I keep referring to their international reputation because not any other university in Canada is so widely known all over the globe). McGill has around 20.000 students while Toronto has 60.000. As you may have guessed it’s statistically easier to get into UofT although that does not imply lower quality of education.

I am an American alumnus of McGill. McGill enrols over 2300 Americans, over 10% of the total enrolment. Montreal is a huge draw as Metaxa13 mentioned. Toronto, UBC, Queen’s and Dalhousie are also excellent schools. Guelph is particularly strong in biology but few in the US have ever heard of it. Regina and Carleton would be considered second or third tier schools by US standards. Memorial is a good school too but rather isolated geographically.

What about U of Calgary?

I’m from California and applied to UBC. Got in. The campus is huge and beautiful, the city is great as well!
