CCC=[Foothill College]
GPA=[3.27 (3.30 by end of Fall)]
Apply to [UCSD, UCI, UCD, UCR, UCSB]
Major [International Studies, International Relations, or Global Studies depending on the school.
What do you think about the school? [I like Foothill! It’s an international school with a lot of diversity. It is right along Highway 280 in Los Altos Hills. On campus the weather is always warmer than where I commute from. You can see the green rolling mountain behind campus and on the drive on 280 to Foothill, you drive along Crystal Springs and Green mountains on one side, and golden rolling hills on the other. The campus is beautiful and gives a feel of a ski resort since the buildings have the natural wooden brown color to them. They have 4 free massaging chairs in one of the lounges, and I just like everything about it!]
Are you ready for UC? YES I’ve been ready since I came back from Cal Poly SLO by the end of my first quarter of college. I didn’t like it there and I wanted to restart. I think I had some growing to do while attending CCC and now that I have my eyes set on my future and I am more organized and prepared, I’m sure that I am ready. I want to be independent again!

CCC
[Los Angeles City College]

GPA
[4.00]

Apply to
UCLA, UCSB, UCSD, USC

Major
Business Econ

What do you think about the school?
ghetto. lots of robberies and shootings near the campus. some revitalization and construction going on right now. has an interesting hippie-ish vibe that you won’t find at places like SMC. lots of dumb people and slackers but some intelligent people too. some fine ass girls go here. there’s a Jack in the box and a medical marijuana dispensary across the street. a lot of famous alumni such as Morgan Freeman. the TV show community is filmed here.

Are you ready for UC?
bring it on

CCC= Palomar College
GPA= 4.0
Applying to UCLA, UCSB, CSULB, CSUF, USC, Chapman, Loyola Marymount
Major = Film Production
What do you think about the school? Don’t care much for the student population (it’s a CC after all), but the professors here are great. They’ve really helped me get back on my feet from high school, and it’s been much easier for me to succeed.
Are you ready for UC? I’d like to think so! I’ve done just about every EC I can think of for my major. The only thing I’m missing is a film internship somewhere, but I’m hoping my independent film portfolio can make up for that!

And I should probably be making more films in that case…

CCC=[Glendale Community College]
GPA=[3.91]
Apply to [UCLA, UCSD, UCD, Cal]
Major [Linguistics]
What do you think about the school? [It’s alright. Nice view because it’s located atop a hill. The elevators always break down though, walking up 6-12 flights of stairs to get to the parking lot kicks my butt.]
Are you ready for UC? [^Bring it on.]

CCC=[De Anza College]
GPA=[3.44]
Apply to [UCSD, UCI, UCD, UCSC]
Major [Computer Science/Engineering]
What do you think about the school? [the school is okay… too much international students though]
Are you ready for UC? [hopefully :)]

What do you think about the school? [ I want to get out of it now. That’s all I want to say about it. ]
Are you ready for UC? [ Most definitely. Better than being at a CC. Time for a real college experience. Bring it on! ]

CCC=[El Camino Colloege]

GPA=[3.81]

Apply to [UCB, UCLA, UCSD]

Major [Philosophy]

What do you think about the school? [The professors are intelligent and kind enough, for the most part. The student body seems apathetic in a lot of senses, but that’s expected. The surrounding area isn’t the nicest (few cities off from both Inglewood to the north and Compton to the east).]

Are you ready for UC? [I think so. I’ve never been a UC student, though, so I can’t truly say.]

CCC: De Anza College
GPA: 3.91
Apply to: Berkeley, UCLA, UCSB, UCSC
Major: Psychology
What do you think about the school? It’s alright; I’m glad it’s close to home. It’s frustrating that it’s so crowded, but I like community college so much better than high school. I especially like that ours is on the quarter system. So much nicer.
Are you ready for UC? Hell yes.

good idea for a thread Ferrari! XD You should put up your info in here too seeing as you’re the TS.

CCC=[El Camino]
GPA=[3.92]

CCC=De Anza

What do you think about the school? I like it because its on quarter system
Are you ready for UC? Can’t wait

@mestudystuff, wow dude haha, you sure have a lot of confident that u will get in UCB :D. Only apply to one school?

CCC=Modesto Junior College
GPA=3.26
Apply to UCSC, UCM, UCD
Major Cognitive Science for UCSC and UCM, Psych for UCD
What do you think about the school? I think it’s pretty chill, but there was apparently an attempted robbery the other morning in the last week…No wonder I saw those police cars that morning. The teachers are decent, the math is hard, campus has parts of it under construction, and you get a mix of diverse people. I think I’ve enjoyed going to cc here more than I thought I would (which was not at all, haha). My friends and I always get shushed in the library by the librarian though lol.
Are you ready for UC? I’m gonna miss my family and friends, but come fall, I will be!

iMunster. Same college, same major. Did you do any major related classes?

CCC: American River College
GPA: 1.80 (Finished my first year of college with a 1.23 GPA)
Apply to: Haven’t applied yet. I need to retake all of the F’s I received at CSU Chico.
Major: Undecided but probably biology.
What do you think about the school? I like it but others have said its quite miserable compared to other CCC.
Are you ready for UC? Not yet.

@^ i love ur honesty. I wish u the best of luck, and hope you get in the school that u wanted. Basically this thread is not about show off the stats, but more of a learning environment. By posting, we allow others to learn more about other ccc as well, also major, and which UC should we apply to. Let face it, everybody has struggle once in their life time. :)

@ iwillflyby

I just took classes that were “recommended” by the schools on assist (since they were so vague and didn’t have exact equivalents). So linguistics 101, anthro 102, 2 separate languages.

How about you? How are you approaching this? And it’s cool to see someone from GCC as well. Most I see of this forum are at other colleges.

CCC= Foothill college (:
GPA=3.49, probably 3.52 after this quarter
Apply to UCD(TAG) UCSD UCLA CPSLO CPPomona and probably Georgia tech
Major Aerospace engineering
What do you think about the school? I have no idea and have not been to any of them. As long as they offer my major and have good opportunities, I am fine.
Are you ready for UC? Yes. I do not think the classes are much harder than community college. After all they all have same contents.

lol, did not realize that "What do you think about the school referred to my current ccc. I would say good professors and academics but not much going on.

@Tall, if its not personal, why did you not continue at CPSLO. I have not been there and should I know something about the university. It looks good in rankings and the internet for engineering.
