I’m currently a senior here in Florida, but I just moved down here the summer before my senior year so I’m not 100% familiar with the universities/colleges down here. I’m very interested in Urban Regional Planning and I’ve applied to FSU (just got in), UCF, USF, and FAU. Any reviews on those schools? And for any of those schools, if you want to meet people and party then do you basically HAVE to join a sorority?

Hi and Congrats on being accepted to FSU!

Urban Regional Planning is a Master’s level program, so you’ll be looking at majoring in a different subject (FSU does offer a minor in the subject, to go with any major). FSU is the higher overall rated school, but based on major (such as engineering) the other schools could offer an equal or better program.

All four public universities are fairly large and social. You don’t have to join a sorority, but you should look into joining a few clubs as a freshman. Get ENGAGED with campus life and make some friends.

School % (of undergrad women) in Sororities
FSU 22%
USF 8%
UCF 7%
FAU 3%

Good Luck!
