Which colleges are most like Hogwarts?

To Roman…

Where you maybe thinking of University of Glasgow in Scotland?

My brother goes there and it REALLY looks like Hogwarts!

Check it out:

http://www.infobritain.co.uk/Glasgow_University_West_Quad.jpg</a></p>

Obviously Oxford… The “Hogwarts scenes” are filmed mostly in Oxford (except for the extorior shots of the castle itself which is in Scotland). In perticular this should look farmiliar http://www.visiting-britain.com/england/images/christchurch-harry-potter.jpg</a>
It’s Christ Church hall, which is a dining hall at Christ Church College, Oxford where the students eat meals in their academic gowns.

The University of Chicago!

Agree, the Gargoyes on the entry way to the main campus and the Pheonix emblem of U of Chicago stand out.

Yale because it’s magical.

But Brown does have Emma Watson…

Harvard
Yale
University of Chicago

and just for laughs, University of Pennsylvania. Why?
School of Arts and Sciences - Gryffindor
School of Nursing - Hufflepuff
School of Engineering and Applied Sciences - Ravenclaw
Wharton - Slytherin…

Haha no hard feelings for prospective Wharton students, just thought it sort of made sense.

west valley community college

i serious about this, i went there for a walk last months, and during the course of 25 minutes, i saw 3 ppl looking exactly like potter O.o

P-ton & Brown…only cause they have a real Hogwarts alum there ;)

UChicago. Architecture and student body.

Vassar, Williams, and Middlebury have quidditch, however.

The quidditch teams are a major draw for me.

Virginia Commonwealth University also has Quidditch. In fact, here’s a video of their team practicing: [YouTube - VCU Quidditch Wizengamot](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W16aLeu0MKQ)

I see them around campus all the time and I REALLY want to join. >_<

notre dame of course, their dining hall looks exactly like the one from harry potter

Harvard is definitely the most like Harry Potter - it’s Freshman dining hall looks identical to the Great Hall and after freshman year, you’re sorted into houses, all with their own colors and crests. Our Quidditch team isn’t too good, but they’re improving.

I’ve always heard the University of Chicago.

But, I’d say anywhere with gothic architecture and COLD!
And, if magic just happens to be taught there, that’s a definite plus…

If you go to Brown, you’ll have a living part of Harry Potter - Emma Watson. PS: Not cute at all, very overrated.

Why are people saying Chicago? A quick Google search tells me it looks nothing like Hogwarts. Same with Oxford. Gothic arcthecture (of which Chicago has very little) doesn’t translate into Hogwartsness. If it did, every other building in my town would qualify. I would say Glasgow or St Andrews… lol at whoever said Edinburgh. Fool.

UChicago, Yale, Fordham, Cornell, Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, Kenyon and others

Wellesley felt hogwarts-ish to me, mainly cuz some of the buildings were castle-like, and it is on a lake, and it has this:

I have a friend that goes to Dominican in Chicago, and it looks pretty Hogwarts-esque. There’s also a few old buildings that I’ve seen on college tours that remind me of Hogwarts as well

Haha you guys…some parts of Oxford University were actually used for shots of Hogwarts, so definitely Oxford. It IS Hogwarts. Everyone has a British accent too!
