What colleges/universities is everyone thinking of attending?

Start by asking yourself simple questions such as...

in state? out of state?
public? private?
large? med? small?
what you are thinking of studying.
financial status. etc.

good luck

JHU (ED)
Yale

Caltech
Stanford
WashU St. Louis

Since your location is Denmark I'd look for universities that give financial aid to international applicants, since few do.

I won't recommend any because, as post #3 said, American universities are all very different than each other. If you could give us some background and the type of location (city, suburban, rural), climate, lifestyle (research? partying?) and school/major (some colleges are more known for certain majors) you are looking for, that would be good.

Also, I'd look in other forums here such as College Search instead of High School Life.

Harvard [been dreamin of harvard since the third grade, even though i'll probably get rejected]

Brown
Georgetown
UChicaco
Princeton
Columbia
Berkeley
Northwestern
Williams
Amherst
NYU
^more reasonable schools. still reaches, but i have faith.

Duke
Emory
Tulane
^sure bets

Duke is no easier to get into than Northwestern, NYU or probably Chicago. Emory not much different. How could you put these as sure bets, and especially how do you figure that NYU is harder than Duke or Emory? It's a fine school, but not in that league.

lol My list was as follows because nobody else apparently applies to LACs :b

Brown
UChicago
Haverford
Hamilton
Colgate
Grinnell
Trinity College
Lafayette
Ursinus College
University of Maine

UChicago
Reed
New College of Florida
Macalester (very good school for int'l students)

Another thing I forgot to mention earlier-look at the school's diversity profile for other internationals. Because no one goes to America to meet Americans.
