I am currently a junior in high school and was planning to take Organic Chemistry and Engineering Physics next year. However, due to scheduling issues, I am pressured to choose one of the two. In terms of impressing colleges, which one has precedence? Thank you in advance.
It depends what courses you have taken already. Colleges want you take take at least one physics, biology, and chemistry class in high school. So, if you haven’t taken a chemistry or physics class yet, take the one you haven’t taken. If you’ve take both, then do the class that interests you more because neither are more impressive for college.
I have taken two chemistry classes (honors and AP Chem) and a single physics (honors physics) class so far. I am going with Engineering physics for the moment and will try to work Organic Chemistry into my schedule.
