<p>For those of you whom have done it…is it better to take Spanish 1 in 8th or 9th grade and why? He will be taking 4 years if that matters as well.</p>
<p>I’d say 8th grade, but only if he’d gets high school credit. But I guess even if he doesn’t get high school credit, he could test into Spanish 2 in 9th grade.
As for the 4 year thing, of he takes Spanish 1 in 8th grade and goes up to Spanish 4 in 11th grade, he’d have an open slot in his Senior year for any elective he’d like to do.
Personally, I took Spanish 1 in 8th grade, but decided to start taking French in 9th grade, but I still received credits for Spanish 1.</p>
