<p>if u r rank 2 in the fall application (which would have ur rank after junior yr) but u r rank 1 after the 1st semester of senior yr, which will be on the mid-yr report. would colleges take into consideration the mid-yr report’s rank more?</p>
<p>How competitive is your school? Will you receive a certain status for being number one like Valedictorian, or no?</p>
<p>If it’s a matter of just the rank and the people in your class’s top ten aren’t too competitive, I don’t think it would matter much. It’s one place, I don’t think that will give you much of an advantage in any college (unless you get a Valedictorian status with it).</p>

after 1st sem - for valedictorian/salutatorian</p>
<p>thats not true colleges look at your class rank senior year and the rigor of your senioryear classes. take APs and get straight As</p>
