which name sounds better: Joslyn or Jalyn

Please, please, please. Don’t let people in an online forum about college life determine your name. Do not listen to anybody, just to yourself. Having said that, I do not like any of those fake names. Just use your real name, like I do. (Believe me I know what it is like when someone mispronounces your name, I get that all the time). Not a lot of people can say the “dizzle” in “Sdizzle” Snoop Dogg style. What a shame. Good luck though!!! Did I just contradict myself?

is that your real name?

Man this is weird…my mom’s name is Joslyn. It’s spelled that way because her parents had never seen Jocelyn spelled out. I don’t think I’ve ever seen another Joslyn.

Look at yourself in the mirror and say each name to yourself out loud.Whichever one makes you smile,or gives you that “just right feeling” in your stomach go with that one.Trust yourself before you trust others…be unique!

Ultima said: “is that your real name?”

If you are referring to “Sdizzle,” yes. Why you got a problem with that?

No, not at all. i think it’s really cooool.
snoop dogg comes to mind.

It’s unique…you should be proud,I have probably the most common British name I would do anything to change it to something like yours.

Actually, it’s not my real name. I would laugh if someone named their child Sdizzle. That would be traumatic, not something to be proud of.

Hrm…

Last name Vo. I can think of a few names that flow very well with the last name.

e.g.:

Katherine (or Kathryn) Vo

Patricia Vo also has a nice ring to it.

Between the two however, I would have to say Jalyn.

I think Casper has either changed her mind or changed her name, but isn’t posting her decision.

hey that’s weird, I reccomended Patricia Vo earlier in the post (and I still think it sounds nice!) and it is my mother’s name, and my name is Kathryn spelled likeyou spelled it. craaazzzyyy

oh i haven’t gone to college confidential in a while thats y lol…

my lil sister just changed her name to Trisha Vo =)

my application’s still pending which i dont’ know why. I guess it wants me to have more time to choose name.

I’ve been using the name Joslyn to work for about 3 weeks. I guess i’m getting used to it. At first it was sooo weird.

I guess i’ll stick with that. Now i just dont know which spelling of Joslyn to get.

Joslyn spelled this way is nice.

My name is Robert.

How interesting is THAT?!

But still, I would never change my name because of the intimacy behind these six letters. i was named after my late uncle who died at 25 years old and had a profound effect on my father. My dad loved him so much he tried to preserve a piece of him by naming me after him. I don’t know what the OP’s biological name is, but whatever it is, DON’T CHANGE IT. I can’t tell you enough. Unless it is for religious reasons, such as becoming muslim or something (which my dad did), don’t change your name. And he didn’t even legally change it. he just told people to call him something else.

just change ur name if you dont like it, get a new nickname or something

Well Sdizzle you should be proud that your name is different. My name is Nathalia, but I just get ppl to call me Natalie…its more English and I avoid questions!Do you often have to face crazy questions about your name?

Sdizzle isn’t my name. It’s just a User ID.

Righteo then!!

mayhaps lisa vo?
