<p>I will be entering my sophomore year in college with 53 credits next fall. I am considering applying for the white house internship for next spring. I ended last semester with a 3.6 and my cumulative GPA is a 3.3. I am a double major in Political Science and Economics. I am a Finance Intern on Senator McCaskill’s re-election campaign. During the 2008 election cycle, I worked on President Obama’s campaign and in 2010 on a congressman’s campaign. I am a member of College Democrats and am planning on becoming more involved on campus next semester. My political science professor is writing me a letter of recommendation and I’m working on having Senator McCaskill do the same. Does any one have any advice or any idea on my chances of landing the internship? Thanks.</p>
<p>@Future Dj, You seem very well qualified for the internship but I also think that it depends on what office you are applying too. Some offices may receive more applicants than another office. Even though it is competitive, I can definitely see you landing at least an interview! GOODLUCK! You should def. apply, most of us are still waiting to here back for fall 2012</p>
