I was looking at last summer posts and they seemed to start hearing back around the end of this week and before and after the 4th.

The wait time is getting insane, but it just shows your dedication. Hang in there!

I know one person who has already been accepted…but hes in the office of presidential correspondence…don’t know if they even have a bg check

Yea I think a few years ago correspondence use to be apart of the whip, but now its like a volunteer position or something qasi like that.

They’re not clear on what the actual position is called. At my school in the dc area they’ve been posting it as a volunteer position, which sucks because I think it’s a full time slot too

I thought that the office was apart of the whip, Isn’t on the departmental descriptions

Yea I’m not sure. The word volunteer seems to be associated with dept a lot more. I just did a google search, but maybe someone with more knowledge can clear it up?

Anyone want to exchange depts we interviewed or filled out dept review forms for? Feel free to send me a private message

Received my conditional acceptance for Fall 2012! Good luck everyone!

all quiet here

Same here. Seems like they’ve been going out on friday night. Congrats visigirl!

Hey, haven’t posted before but got some good news on Friday night

The Office of Presidential Correspondence is one of the offices that takes interns from the White House Internship Program. It has a separate volunteer program to accommodate the massive volume of mail, emails, and calls from the public. While the interns and volunteers may work together and perform similar tasks, the interns alone benefit from the Speaker Series and other internship program opportunities. They also have a more extensive application and vetting process.

hopefully this is the week

I’m thinking this Friday night or next.

crickets . . .
