<p>So I completed DR forms last week, still no interview, but have received an offer for a pretty amazing fellowship with an NGO, that actually pays some money. I am supposed to let them know within one week. </p>
<p>Does anyone know if it hurts you to email the WH intern office and just let them know you are on a time crunch? Would it help, harm, or do nothing? </p>
<p>I WANT the WH but if I am not going to get it then I really don’t want to pass up this opportunity. </p>

<p>So last week on my SF86 I had to disclose that I have been dealing with the IRS on a tax issue from 2010. Under status I put “Waiting on action from IRS”. </p>
<p>Today, without notice, I get a $3300 deposit into my bank account from the IRS. No letter, no explanation, just money… It’s three years later and more than expected.</p>
<p>My husband says it is coincidence but really… What are the odds they decided to get on it right after I complete forms for the WH stating I am waiting on them to resolve the issue? But would anyone really do anything for a meesiley intern’s background check?</p>
<p>I just find it odd we didn’t get a letter staging something would happen in 6-8 weeks, rather than depositing randomly. </p>
<p>Maybe it is just wishful thinking for nothing but it makes me happy to think I am special for a few seconds! </p>
<p>I heard back from the WH yesterday to set up an interview, and I had my phone interview today. This was after receiving a couple “processing” emails.</p>

<p>Congratulations all of the recently accepted interns! I am one of the fall interns and sad to see my time go by so quickly-4 weeks left! If any of you are looking for an apartment starting in Late December- the owners of my English Basement Apartment are looking for a new tenant.
