I think that abuse is among the issues not yet addressed in the Church. Pope Francis also fell short in that area. There are many reasons I chose to leave the Catholic Church, and I have been pleased to see that some have been addressed in the ensuing years. However, it remains a deeply patriarchal, closed organization that is run by human men. I pray that it will continue to evolve and recognize the ways in which it might better serve all of its members.
