Has anyone heard of this school? If you have, please share your knowledge. How are the academics, the extracurricular activities, the student body, etc?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

nope, never heard of it. and, yes, you are very welcome. i know that i epitomize helpfulness, there is no need to tell me so.

Thanks for your help, Martha.

Anyone else?

Bump bump…

Whitney Young is one of the most prestigious high schools in Chicago. Less than 5% of the applicants get accepted. They are well-known for their academic achievement in the US Academic Decathlon.

My cousin’s name is Whitney, which means this school ROCKS!

err, the only whitney i knew was a bit of a bi-otch

Well, that’s understandable. My cousin has the rights to every ounce of coolness that is spread throughout anyone named Whitney, so every other Whitney kinda got the shaft.

Oh, it all makes sense now. Kind of like how all of the other Marthas are old ladies who crochet cat PJs. I took all of the spectacularity available for Marthas-- which was a surprisingly large amount.

You sure did! There aren’t really any other Brynna’s to compare awesomeness with…

no, they just had to take that name out of the books-- not even enough coolness left to knit cat pyjamas.

I guess you are right, you’re always right Martha.

I should go start my homework… Am I going to? No. I’ll get icecream instead.

cookies and cream?

Just vanilly. I may put hot chocolate mix on top…

vanillas good only if it has the dark flecks in it

I have a good friend named Whitney M.

And I love Olive_Tree! :D

lol…I like pronouncing your name “Maw-tha” in a real southern accent for some reason lol

I think I would be shunned off the planet if I tried to do a southern accent. I’m too Minnesoooooodn.

www.wyoung.org is the site, if that provides any information that you did not already know.
“Martha” in a southern accent does sound quite weird to a person who pronounces r’s in the hard style.

i can barely do the southern accent justice.

of course, when i’m up north, people ask me where i’m from and tell me to count to Tay-en

when i go to Birmingham, ATL, etc., people ask where i’m from and tell me to cont to tehn
