Who actually thinks they aren't the "cliche" CCer?

I am definitely not the typical CCer. I have a 3.5 weighted GPA, 1190 SAT and a 26 on the ACT. My EC’s are pretty outrageous in number considering how much time I have to spend at school at rehearsal or tech (I attend a visual and performing arts school where I am a dancer). I work very hard just to compete with those who never have to study to make straight A’s. But it was enough to get into a lower tier one school so I am completely satisfied with my mediocracy. I am slowly getting addicted to this site I must admit.

I joined the non-ccer’s club long ago…

I don’t consider myself a typical CCer.

Proof: I can’t do basic Algebra II (as painful as it is to admit that)

Majority of CCers I’ve seen participate in either Tennis or Swimming, or play no sports whatsoever. Even with those who participate, I often see “4 years JV” or “Letterwinner”. So I would say despite my high grades/SATs I’m not a cliched stereotypical CCer.

I’m not a genius, but have pretty high scores. But I am athletic. Somewhat. And not awkward. On the flip side, I might spend about 2+ hours a day on work during school weeks. So I’m actually about halfway there.

I feel like I’m an outsider. Yes I take honors courses and I do many extracurriculars but my GPA is 2.6 unweighted and I procrastinate, lovely.

3.1 UW GPA
Not a varsity athlete, not published, no academic awards, etc.

I’d say I’m only comparable in my ACT score to the “cliche CC’er” My EC’s are more what I’m passionate about even if I’m not too well accomplished. DJing, boxing, etc.

Definition of ideal CC-er

Maybe not typical, but I would say your type of stats are what the CCer strives for. ECs that are hard to do and that you care about. Also, you have high GPA and SAT. Get out of denial.

I don’t think anyone would willingly identify with the typical CCer but we all come to this site for some reason or another, and anyone who comes to this site has at least something in common with the mythical archetypal CCer. Except, perhaps, teh ■■■■■■.

If you are talking about stats that’s different, of course.

I hate school.
I hate revising.

Anyone with me still? If yes, you may continue.

I love to play 7 hours of L4D2 the night before the tests. As I did with my SATs.
I pretty much didn’t do any revision.

Saturday…

Please write down your school name, school number, candidate name…

You may begin.

Time’s up.

3 weeks later.

Why aren’t my scores out yet!? Stupid collegeboard.

One week later, my scores were finally out…

I’m not the cliche (though I think a better word is stereotype) of the typical CCer because while I’m nerdy, I’m not very smart.

I have the spirit and soul of a typical CCer though. Yay for me!

Yea. I’m not much of a CCer. Join the club guys.

From what I see, many people here don’t count themselves as the ‘typical’ CCer. Maybe agreeing that you’re not the typical CCer makes you one.

I am a typical CCer

in the anti-matter universe!

My GPa is not a 4.0. I’m not in the top 5% of my class and I haven’t won national awards. I have never even gone to a summer program. So i’m pretty unCC as you can get.
And my PSAT?

I got a dissapointing, 203.

(sigh)

TYPICAL CCER

3.8-4.0 GPA

ima rebel!
