485 pending 1 year, is it same chance to get in college?

???

Err…what?

I don’t know what you mean. Schools love international students. They just don’t want to pay for them. If you can pay your way, it is not a problem at all being international. You just are not entitled to US government aid, and most schools are not need blind to internationals.

I guess with 485 you meant I-485, a form which you file to apply for adjustment of status to become a permanent resident?

I am not sure when in the process of acquiring permanent resident status you become eligible for financial aid if that’s an issue. If it’s not, you shouldn’t have too hard of a time at most colleges (i.e. excluding Harvard etc). If it is, please be aware that some colleges have policies stating that you can never apply for financial aid if you did not apply for financial aid at the time you applied for admission.

Please contact the colleges you want to apply to / attend, and see what they say.
