Yes. I am so damn bored of home. I miss my friends and being busy. Hell, I kind of even miss going to class. And I just generally miss my lifestyle at school and how convinent things are there.

Winter Break is usually pretty boring…Last year I took classes during intersession, and it was so much fun. I would have done it again, but they don’t offer a huge selection of courses during intersession.
This year I just picked up more hours at work during Winter Break…keeps me busy and it’s nice seeing that paycheck every Thursday.

ThisMortalSoil: You can do it! So many benefits to stopping smoking, and your strongest incentive may be to win the affection of that girl you’ve been eyeing. ;)

Yeah even with working 40 hours a week starting a day after I got home, I’m still sure I’m going to be bored. I’m studying abroad in New Zealand next semester and I’m so excited, but classes don’t start til Feb 20! Luckily I leave Feb. 7, but that’s still a solid 8 weeks of break that I definitely don’t need.

I kind of miss school, but i feel that my break hasn’t really started yet. It’s nice getting a break, though. I know Spring semester will be just as hard as the previous semester, so I definitely need to get all the rest I can during break. My break will likely consist of: dining out with family, partying with friends, hanging out with friends, and going to the movies. lol

I’ve been enjoying break because not having class and other things going on has let me do a lot of my own special effects projects.

I’m am excited to go back, but at the same time kind of nervous because i’ve actually been enjoying the time with my family. I’ve been off since Thanksgiving, and class starts again on Jan 3rd, but i’m probably going back on the 30th for New Years. In a way it sucks, because a lot of my friends from others schools JUST got home, while i’ve been home for close to a month.

And then its almost a straight shot of school until June, so i’m kinda dreading that part.

I work full time. Makes the days go by quickly. I’d love to sit around and do what I want.

dude i’ve been nothing but depressed all break. no money, no job, slowly but surely decaying family situation, tons of time to think about ****. i feel like the only possibly outcome is depression.

i don’t really wish i was back at school, but i just wish i wasn’t here. wish i could fast forward to when classes start up again!

Break hasn’t even started for me either. I got a final tomorrow. I can’t wait for break!

Ugh another day down. Can’t wait for tomorrow to be over so it can be Christmas weekend. god I’m going insane here lol, I need a proper daily routine and I need my daily social interaction with my friends and roomies.

Heck I work full time and take a full load. I’ve been sitting at home and I have no idea what to do with the extra time. I’m bored as #$%$,

Nothing good on TV either. Well except for Ridiculousness and the Ryan Dunn tribute but for some reason the TV at my mom’s doesn’t pick up MTV properly. Something to do with the cable line going to her apartment. ugh.

I always look forward to break, but when it actually happens, I begin to miss things back at school. For the last week, I’ve slept, watched Smallville, and practiced violin. All my friends are away some place or another. It’s like I’m being incarcerated in my home. Seriously, the highlight of my day is going to CVS to pick some stuff up. Anyone else miss school?

“Seriously, the highlight of my day is going to CVS to pick some stuff up.”

i’ve actually enjoyed running errands with my mom simply cos I get out of the house

If you guys are this bored why not start reading your textbooks for spring classes? Or just read some books that you’ve wanted to read but didn’t have time for during the semester?

^ I’m not even bored but that’s what I plan to do next week. Not looking forward to it at all, though.

i’m gonna read some books. i sure ain’t reading textbooks though, I have yet to get one that’s actually fun to read.

Pfft. You haven’t lived until you read through a calculus book for a darn good time.

I’m so freaking sick of break. I miss my hall, the So Cal weather, my friends, being away from family… Almost halfway done, though.

Why don’t all of you bored kids get up and ask your parents if there are some things you can do around the house? I am sure they would appreciate the extra help. Maybe you could help clean the basement or paint your room. Or offer to go grocery shopping for your mom and cook a few meals for the family. Or bake a variety of christmas cookies. If you have younger siblings at home, take them out somewhere special like ice skating or sledding- I know my younger son really misses his siblings when they are gone and really appreciates it when they can spend some special time together. If you live close to grandparents, spend some time with them. There is plenty to do if you just look around.
