Who else is tired of winter break?

I’ve been cooking, doing errands with and for my mom, and my sister is in that stage of teenagerdom where hanging out with the fam is lame.

Learn to play the guitar/another instrument! That should keep you busy…or work on getting your “dream body” ;)

Sent from my SGH-T959V using CC App

I’m actually tempted to drive to my house (it’s only about 30 minutes away) and pick up my bass and amp.

i’ve been playing so much music and smoking so much weed. at times i do feel bored but at other times i’m really glad i have so much time to myself.

Like 10 minutes before I was coming home for break, I was like “OMG BREAK FINALLLLYYY.” By the time that day was over, I was like “This shiz sucks -__-.”

I hate my school too (transferring next year), so basically I would rather be in a forest picking berries or something right now.

I’m not tired…yet. Still have people to see, still have to go to San Francisco several more times, still have to prepare for getting into a service organization next semester, still have books I want to read, although I could do that at school too. I guess I’m not that bored at home because I have a car and I like spending time with my little brother.

I am enjoying my winter reflecting period. Doing extra studying enjoying the scenery, taking in life and getting stoked for next semester.

I’m guessing OP is a freshman. Heh.

I’m a college senior and I’m definitely tired of winter break already…I acknowledge that it’s my own fault though :stuck_out_tongue: I’ve read books, watched TV and movies (far too many). I went swimming and to a zumba class, a doctor’s and dentist’s appointment, and hung out with my best friend once. I also have 2 papers to write (short-ones) due when I come back from break but I don’t care enough to work on those yet. I could hang out with my other friends…but that involves planning, and I’m the only one of my home friends that plans (laziness ftw). I could go to the mall, eat out or movie theater…but that involves having money (so poor). I could go to the bar but that also involves money, having friends with money because I’m not about to go alone, and finding a DD (or paying way too much money for a cab). So instead I am just watching more TV, movies, reading, facebook, CC…oh the home life.

“I’m guessing OP is a freshman. Heh.”
I’m a sophomore.

I’m so bored now too. I just want to skip to Jan 31st and go to my New Years party. I go back on the 16th so I have A LOT OF TIME to waste. What should I do…? I’m starting to learn how to play the piano though…

SO BORED. Save me from this misery -_-

I literally have nothing but help around the house and work when I’m needed…

I’ve watched so much TV in the past week. If only I knew how awesome NCIS was, I wouldn’t be on a Michael Weatherly binge now.

Then I felt bad about all the TV and started reading a Tobias Wolff book (along with helping out around the house). It’s. So. Awesome! Oh and I started skimming through my intro to organic chemistry textbook so when I take the class in January, it won’t completely kill my soul.

If you are so bored think this…What can I do for my parents who do so much for me? May I suggest…clean the garage out…basement organization…get rid of stuff that is no longer needed or wanted in the house…do a really good lawn clean up…empty the kitchen cabinets and clean the shelves and draws. Trust me the list could go on and on…thats why you are bored and your parents don’t have time to do the things they would like to do.

Sorry guys but threads like this just really bug me afetr years od seeing the kids come home from school like they need such a break. As a self employed mom who works crazy hours I am not into entertaining the notion that college kids are bored. Too bad you are bored when your parents wish they could be.

^You can only help around the house so much until everything is done…

Tis true especially when you’re off for close to a month.
I don’t know what’s up with the parents here assuming that housework isn’t being done. Apparently college kids can’t be bored on break. Go figure.

Definitely… It’s nice seeing old HS friends and sitting around with no academic priorities, but I feel out of place almost. I like the daily grind in college, doing stuff all the time, I miss it :(

I’m a freshman and I really liked my first semester, but I love my home and I’m really close to my family, so being at home is really nice. I had 4 full weeks off and even though it has been boring at times, it’s definitely nice to have just a full month off as opposed to the two weeks I always used to have. I think I only get bored when I’m at home and just switching back and forth between the computer and Modern Warfare 3. Otherwise, whenever I go out and do something, it’s really fun. So far, I’ve been sleeping in, eating out a lot, watching movies, watching football with the guys, and I even got to go to a hockey game a couple of days ago, which was awesome. But yeah, one downside to having a month off is that I know it will be hard to adjust to college life again.
