Who Has the Longest Summer Break?

I’m mostly referring to those who are going High School –> College in the Fall.

I’ve got 4 months! Mid-May to Mid-September.

Gap Yah.

July 1st 2010 - September 1st 2011

I saw how long your breaks were and then I just…CHUNDERED EVERYWHERE!

^ Ahaha, we haven’t had a good reference in a while.

;) You’re welcome Benny boy. xD.

^ Please don’t call me that…

… made a little vomcano …

I’m not going to a quarter school = sucky break.

^ Millancad, I’m not going to a quarter school anymore! Harvard took me off their waitlist and are letting me take my gap year.

^Ahhh! OMG, that’s amazing. Everyone (read: one person) I’ve ever known who has gotten off of Harvard’s waitlist is awesome.
Yay! I thought we were going to have to be rivals with you at Caltech. But I guess Harvard and MIT are still rivals, but in a more adorable way.

ETA: Ixnay. Realized that you were going to go to UChicago.

I had mid May until Aug 31.

This year I have end of April until Sept 1. Even with spending 2 months abroad, I am still getting a longer break than some of you :p

^ That’s a long time, is MSU like that every year?

^^ Well it also means that we may well run into eachother (or than we could technically make plans such that we would run into eachother)

^Awesome. I know a bunch of cool people at/going to Harvard, especially since the Harvard club here told us all to come meet each other and become best friends forever. And Harvard square is way cooler than Kendall/the area around MIT. So, hopefully, I will run into lots of Harvard people/make plans to run into lots of Harvard people. Hopefully, also, without having to spend my life savings on the T. . . .

^ Get a “Charliecard” (which I think is a monthly pass), you’ll end up saving a lot of cash.

June 4th to September 7th :)

June 4th to August 18th

Includes exam dates; Exam days are only mandatory if one is failing a class, received a referral, or missed 3+ days of school.

August?!? My state has a law that schools can’t start before labor day. Well public schools that is.

We used to begin school September 21st :[ ugh…I wish the schedule had not been adapted.

April 20th (doesn’t include finals) to Sept 7th.

UMich runs on a sort of trimester-ish schedule, which I like. The semesters are a little shorter than they are at most places, so you can take 3 full semesters in a year. Though the spring/summer selection sucks.

We get out one week later than UMich and start one week before.

But it’s nice because we get a longer winter break :p

After two weeks I don’t really feel like being on break anymore anyway. I want to get back to classes.
