Magnificent: Oh, I know how you feel. I got word about my decision last Friday, and I knew it was coming, so I literally spent the entire week in a constant state of extreme nerves. I thought I was gonna start screaming when the coach told me, but I just breathed a sigh of huge relief.

Yup, state does matter, but it’s not going to tip your app over the edge if you’re lacking something. NYU explicitly states that they seek geographical diversity.

No I don’t play bball, but you could probably guess by stalking through my posts :O

@Magnificent OHHH xD I don’t know if I count. I got a 2110 SAT, 32 ACT, and I have a 3.68 UW GPA, I don’t remember my weighted. I’m just average as all heck, bawww. I envy your SAT scores. The math killed me.

@flute: no, you dont count. GO AWAY :K
lol. it’s okay, I still got love for my non-splitters.

and my math was nice, but that essay just destroyed by 2200 dreams. I didn’t get to finish it; had I gotten a 10, I would be frolicking to appville with an 800 in at least something!

you all have great stats!!! i think if we ave this much passion it would just be too mean to disappoint us all… lets make a pact… no matter if we are accepted or denied, lets all let eachother know, cuz im nosy hhahah

@Magnificent I hope we both get in so we can be California buddies xD Although you probably have more of a chance than me. My major program only takes 30 undergrads, and there were at least 15 the day I was auditioning…ugh.

Well…if I just randomly disappear on/around Dec. 15, you can assume I was rejected and too depressed to post about it haha. If(when :P) I get in, believe me, I’ll be telling everyone :)

lmao, Seriously! Everyone should just not apply to NYU so that we can go there. lol I think about that all the time. I’m applied ED for Tisch’s Drama Department. I auditioned as a MT but I’m one of the few who said yes to all departments. The way I see it, NYU gives amazing acting training and there are enough opportunities through electives to get excellent dancing and singing as well. Plus, I really value acting far over singing and dancing. Not that I don’t want awesome singing and dancing training, but I just think it’s most important to be able to act. And NYU has such amazing studios: where ever they think I’ll grow the most as a performer is where I want to be, you know?

I don’t know why I just said all that.

I am so freaked out about this student newsletter thing. I’m in CA too. Also by SF. I’m sure it’s just a student information thing and doesn’t mean anything…but still AHHHHHHH.
