Any new sucky teacher stories you guys would like to entertain us with?
Ah, my English teacher is notorious for explicitly and un-explicitly telling people to kill themselves. I think it’s a joke, but it’s hard to tell the difference between his jokes and literal statements.

My school’s only chemistry and physics teacher is notorious. I’ve got her in Robotics club, and I’ll have her in two periods next year… </3
She speaks English as a second language, and it really shows (“You will to have this at Friday”). She picks favorites hardcore. My friend claims she took a look at his test and teased him ‘Let us see if you have any right.’
She will pick on quiet students (me included :().
I am not enthusiastic, but she seems to like me well enough. I’m not planning on relying on her, though.
Had a teacher who just refused to teach people who were absent. I suffered a serious illness in freshman year, and I would come in the morning for him to “tutor” me, as is the norm at my school for making up absent work. He would rather spend the time chatting with football players or with other teachers. He was basically a brick wall for the few minutes he gave me. Any attempts to catch up on my work was almost impossible.
Just about everyone in the school that had him had the same experience. He was unhelpful and didn’t care about students that weren’t “cool” and his class was unreasonably hard to ridiculous extremes. C’s and D’s for otherwise A average kids weren’t uncommon. F’s for everyone else was accepted and expected. Many kids simply would not show up because they knew they were going to fail anyway.
I had to retake the class because I failed it. I easily got an A in the retake with zero effort. The new teacher asked me how I got an F and turned it into an A. I just said the old teacher’s name and the new teacher instantly understood.
I thought I was over him, but this thread made me realize how much I still truly dislike this man. Because of him, I had to miss out on a very enjoyable class I had been savoring for the entire year.
What is the worst thing you ever did to or said about a teacher?
In fifth grade, my math teacher (we switched classes once a day if we were in Advanced Math) hated me so, so much. She made several classroom rules because of me (no saying “like” or “um”, no rocking back in your chair). And when I gave her nice chocolates for Christmas, she put them in the classroom candy jar.
I hated her too.
Mrs Schmitt for English 10. Oh my god. She’s a hippie and wants us to do things like “express thought-provoking ideas” and “share our feelings.” I wish I could post a picture of her classroom. She has HANGING LUFAS frkm the ceiling in various colors. And she has a bunch of birds on the walls that say things like “dream it” and “be kind.” It makes me want to barf. She has ZERO classroom management skills either. Once she assigned us a 20-minute worksheet for the whole hour, so when I got done I naturally took out my math homework. The guys in my class decided to spend their free time throwing bottle caps at each other. Instead of punishing those guys, she came over to my desk and threw away my math homework because she doesn’t allow other work in her class. Worst of all, I want to take an AP English next year and she isn’t preparing me at all.
My freshman English teacher was the worst. We did these stupid vocab assignments every week and we had to come up with mnemonics to memorize the definition of each word (which made absolutely no sense) as well as draw pictures for each word. He would then grade the mnemonics and pictures if he didn’t understand them. He was fired after a year due to complaints and I remember that the universal hatred of him was so intense that even 4 years later, the mention of his name evokes a look of pure disgust.
