<p>ECs aside, I think the 1730 SAT is slightly better. (but the difference is almost negligible…)</p>

<p>100 pt difference on the SAT might be more significant than a .1 difference on GPA.</p>
<p>If they go to different schools, the 1000 point diff in sat scores prolly makes a bigger impact because it is standardized
the sat is crucial only because its the same level of difficulty everytime. A high GPA might be misleading because the school could be a really bad school with extremely easy classes, or the student might have chosen a very light courseload.</p>
<p>We can’t say for certain; luck plays a big role in admissions, as do things other than tests and academics.</p>
