Who's applying ED to Penn?

Nothing can kill my jokes.

They’re dead on arrival.

bye guys! i’ll talk to all of you tomorrow at 5:01!!! cannot take the waiting!

EmPaige- sort of funny that fun. played at Penn a few months ago! I didn’t get to see them there, but it was very exciting to see that one of my favorite bands was playing at my favorite university!

Guys I am planning on making the results thread at around 4:30-4:45ish tomorrow. I will make it exactly the same as the past threads that have been successful. I’m a junior who has been hanging around this thread for awhile, and I don’t think any of you who are getting decisions should have to worry about making the thread.

@acceptmealready, come on, please don’t go. We need you here.

@45Percenter, no comment.

You know how you say emptily, “I am going to get rejected or I am going to get deferred”. After checking Columbia’s decisions, I can definitely say, from the soul, I have no chance. I am probably going to extend my college list to a bit more than what I have now (approx. 9 right now - might increase it by one or two).

Thanks again, dfree.

aww i would stay but i am just way too nervous and stressed out

What schools are you applying to?

How come all of the results threads post the html code?

Okay so… Up until now I’ve been fairly laid back about all of this waiting, but now that Columbia and Cornell released their decisions, reality is setting in. This is the first time I’m truly nervous. My heart is racing and my hands are shaking even as I type this. I have no idea how I’m going to get through tomorrow and I’m going to miss this thread so much after tomorrow.

Just one last quick question?
How does penn weight the certain parts of your application? I remember reading it before, but I forgot now.

Did anyone not get contacted for a Penn interview?

@OOquanta: “Transcript indicating rigor of course work and achievement/evaluation most important criteria. Co-curricular involvements and testing strongly considered, as are counselor and faculty recommendations. Personal commentary (essays) and interview considered as well.” -Penn College Board page

Also, just finished typing up my rejection stats for the results thread tomorrow.

I didn’t :(

@ctodd, i didn’t get contacted but i had a required nursing interview on campus in august

i have 12 schools on my list of which i’ve already applied to 5… lots of essays to write if i don’t get in! fingers crossed*

Thank mwrecks94!
I’m just reevaluating my stats, but no regrets, I’ve done all that I could have done, and the one thing I’ve learned in life is to persist, and demonstrate the passion you showed to penn continuously.

May we all get into Penn.

Just typed up all my stats

I’m so hopeful and excited, please Penn don’t break my heart!

just typed up all my stats too! best of luck all

OOquanta: according to Penn’s common data set, which may be more accurate:

Rigor of Coursework, Essays, Recs and i think character traits/personality are “very important”
GPA and Test Scores and Extra Curriculars are “Important”
Class Rank and pretty much everything else is “Considered”.
Religious Affiliation is “Not Considered”

JUST EDITED THIS POST FOR EXTRACURRICULARS.
