@free2rhyme: Wait, where are Extra Curriculars? Don’t tell me that they are just “considered”. That’d be so sad.

@mwrecks, I know what you mean. I only have a math quiz tomorrow, but I think I am going to be focused on my anxiety for decisions. Up until now I didn’t realize I applied to “University of Pennsylvania: one of the ivy leagues and top colleges in the country”.

Now, I am freaking out. I didn’t get an interview either.

EC’s are “important factors.” Same category as GPA and test scores.

This is where I find everything I needed to know about Penn admissions:

http://www.upenn.edu/ir/Common%20Data%20Set/UPenn%20Common%20Data%20Set%202010-11.pdf

Awesome…time for us to all freak out together…the next 20 hours, 21 minutes are going to be painful…

Just like Cell used Android 17 and Android 18 to achieve his perfect form, this thread needs every little paranoid, neurotic, freaking out, spazzing out comment to make it the best thread it can be.

To achieve perfection, we must give this thread our worries and fear.

Wow, missed out on a lot! So I just got home from a long, busy day…

1 out of 3 students that I know applied to Columbia ED was accepted (He’s a genius with a 2400). My other friend was accepted into Cornell ED. Ahhhhh, I’m so incredibly anxious for tomorrow; I’m like shaking and my stomach feels all weird everytime I think of it… Is that normal? (I’m expecting to be denied but I just CAN’T move on until I receive the formal rejection from Admissions.)

You guys are scaring away people like EmPaige and me because we strongly dislike talking about our applications after submission.

My friend got rejected from Columbia with a 2370 and a 3.9 GPA…

EmPagie told me “to go hard or go home”. That’s exactly what I did. Too bad, she couldn’t take the heat. Was going me super saiyan too much for you?

But in all seriousness, if you guys are feeling uncomfortable, we should try changing the discussion to something interesting.

What were your conclusions from reading the results? It is random. There was an international with less than a 2200 who got in. So there is really no point in posting stats of people who would have probably gotten in anyway if they were a bit more lucky.

maybe the essays really do make a big difference.

I CAN TAKE THE HEAT! I’m right here, I never left.
:)

We’ll see…in 20 hours :)

Yeah, I’m already feeling a little dizzy - I probably won’t be in this kitchen tomorrow at 5.

你能,Empaige?你真的嗎?讓我們在某些語言的參數。您可以選擇不同的語言。如果你可以看到這一點,那麼你可能已經知道,我寫在中國。

The gauntlet is thrown. Do you accept the challenge?

This gauntlet is for you, Empaige.

I don’t know if the 26% is inaccurate or if the ED acceptance rate has gone down, but according to the link free2rhyme posted, for the 2010 incoming class the ED acceptance rate was 34%.

@emr, I noticed that before too. I don’t know why they have different numbers. Based on the title, it should be last year’s one.

free2rhyme: That was completely incomprehensible Chinese. Just wrong. No.

good luck tomorrow guys!! remember it’s not the end of the world if you don’t get in!!
