Correct. I sent my tax returns for 2010 just in case though.
Phew, thought I was alone on this one but I guess the SFS is rather busy at this moment.

Rejected from Morehead Cain already. I don’t really care about Chapel Hill that much, but why do I have a feeling that the Penn decision will follow suit.

Have faith, sweetcookie!

sweetcookie did you get anything from Chapel Hill? When are the decisions for that due?

@shiver - I’m not applying to Chapel Hill. It doesn’t give out aid to internationals. The Morehead Cain gig was something I did out of pure respect for my counselor.

I was pretty upset about their straight-up rejection. It felt like I was rehearsing for the Penn one coming up next week. The scenario was exactly as I imagined it was going to be like - lots of crying, parents commenting on tough competition, my facebook ranting to friends, etc.

^ sweetcookie, the Morehead-Cain has a 3.4% acceptance rate, according to this:

Virtually everyone gets a straight-up rejection.

Penn, on the other hand, has a 26% ED acceptance rate. Hang in there! :)

I got the email yesterday. Totally freaking out. This is my primary choice, so if I don’t get in…I dont even know what I’m gonna do! Really hope everything works out. Goodluck to all you guys!

But I didn’t even get into the first round. That felt like a slap in the face. Hmm…I’m not sure if I was considered in state or not, because I’m Canadian. Either way, rejection sucks.

Hey guys don’t be so worked up… Penn can’t admit everyone and Furda says there’s a lot of applications they should admit that they don’t. After posting on this thread for so long I know we’ll all be successful no matter where we go. Sure Penn may be our dream school but if we don’t get accepted we’ll find our role in another school and succeed in that context as well. With that said best of luck to all of us.

7 days left…freaking out now…i got the e-mail today btw.

Only a week now until decisions… oh dear.

(M&T >> SEAS applicant here)

@AAHHOMGPENNAAHH love the screen name

@ xAlex452
Thanks, best of luck to you too!

By this time next week, we will have seen our decisions and experienced a multitude of varying emotions.

I know you will all succeed no matter what the outcome! :)

Today, my friend fell asleep in AP Lit. My teacher asked him what was wrong and he said, “College apps.” My teacher paused, smiled and said, “Just remember, at the end of the day, we’re all gonna die. So… live life.” HAHA gotta love her. :D

@sweetpuri that is so depressing and comforting at the same time haha LESS THAN A WEEK!!

I just found out someone from my school is being recruited for penn… does that hurt my chances?

@ GloryusNotoryus
Maybe. Depending on what he was recruited for, it might just mean one student’s already gotten in and the rest are still on equal footing, or it can hurt. The whole “only a percentage of applicants from a certain high school get in” isn’t exactly true (for example, I’ve heard of schools where over 60% get in, with all(!!!) of its CDD applicants being accepted ED), but it is a usual occurrence, so I doubt so.

i’m pretty sure it’s only me and him, plus he hasnt applied yet

I applied ED-Wharton

@Gloryus
How can it possible hurt you if he hasn’t applied?

if the admissions commitee knows he’s going to apply, wouldn’t they factor that into my consideration?
