Lol, he’s a friend of mine, we went to middle school/high school together. He had a major crush on me during high school and I kind of broke his heart, because I was too busy mooning over the guy I’m currently with. Long story.
Yeah, this guy who hangs out in the same circle as my boyfriend at Cornell is mutual friends with a girl who’s in all of my studio classes this year…They hung out in the same circle of friends in high school. I could go on. But it’s super cool xD

:P i wish i knew ppl like u all guys. I feel almost an international student :P( i moved last year to NY from peru)

so if anyone needs help with spanish… lol

Yeah I noticed that, acc, that’s pretty cool! Is English a common language in Peru?

haha you can teach me spanish if you want! i would actually love to learn. i took it for 2 years in high school but i can’t really remember it. my french is much better.

I’m learning French. For me, and I’m a native speaker, Spanish is a pain in the ass hahaha. I suck at Spanish (Hence the only two freaking Bs in my transcript). The grammar rules are crazy. You guys don’t have “accents” in English (ex.

Ive been lurking on this thread for a while <_< lol
Sorry to you guys who didn’t get in
Don’t give up!
You guys that did get in get to leave in January… so jealous!

East, sorry to bother you again with an Emory question but did u ask them if you could waive your SAT scores? Did you send them?? Because I was reading the Emory Fall transfer thread and apparently someone was actually rejected because he has his scores missing. Now, I’m not sure what the hell is going on. I sent them another email confirming it. Can they penalize you, when they’re own office told you it was ok?

Jemma- I remember you telling me in Emory’s fall thread that someone told you that you could waive the SAT scores if you had enough credits. I e-mailed Emory about a month ago and told them that I had 65 credits and I saw no reason why SAT scores should still be so important in my application. They responded and said they’d be able to waive the hs transcript requirements but they could only waive the SAT if I had been out of hs for 5 years or more. I’d just send them if I were you since what you were told directly conflicts with the information listed on the web site.

Feel free to e-mail me if you have any other questions.

no news today? that could be either good or bad

Dunno, ironic. It’s really down to both you and Riley for HumEc now, plus the two hotel kids. All the CAS seem to have heard back (shout out if I’m wrong lol).

Since ILR probably won’t hear until December 10thish…

oh true… lol

well i hope they get a move on. “possibly no decisions until january” what. no.

ilr and humec need to get with le program.

Humec and ILR ARE the program.

Don’t forget it!

Question for the general public

What’s a harder class? General Chemistry or Physics?
Factors to consider
- I hate chemistry
- Ratemyprofessor says the physics teacher is pretty easy, where as chemistry they’re all ehh

Def. Physics. I don’t think there’s any question about that here. General Chem can be REALLY hard…Physics too but if you don’t like chem, go with physics

I’m taking chemistry and I absolutely love it, but in high school I hateeeeed it. Might be due to the teaching, though, my professor is incredible. Although I could be doing a lot better right now.

Haven’t taken a physics class yet, might think about Physics I later down the road. Not sure.

I’d take physics if you know the teacher is going to rock, because doesn’t matter what the subject is if it’s taught great.

I took AP Chem and AP Physics C in high school senior year. Hands down chem was so much easier.
Might’ve been the teacher though. I loved my physics teacher sooo much (my chem teacher was rather dry but she was a great teacher), but I really didn’t understand any problem sets…I think he expected us to figure out how to solve them all on our own. That was his method. Which didn’t work for me. Go for the better teacher too, I’d say.

wait… did you mean, “hands down PHYSICS was so much easier?”

thanks for the replies by the way!

wait, no haha. I re-read that… you meant chemistry

and just for kicks… post #2000 goes to me :)
