<p>since my laptop got f… up, i barely have motivation to do the work. i have a research paper,3 exams coming this week and in the december 21st week (i got classed on december 23rd and i have 3 finals that day). anyways, hopefully i’ll join the fb group next week

<p>also i was sleeping until an hour ago. bum much? lol whatever… hopefully when i come back i’ll be all cornellified and i’ll want to start my work. baby leaves tomorrow at 7 in the morning 
but it’s the last time we’re going to be separated!</p>
<p>ironic, was it hard to maintain a high GPA at stony? My plan may be to go there for 1(hopefully)-2(shoot me in the face) years and transfer. I was hoping I would be able to achieve a 4.0. Any info at all would be greatly appreciated. BTW i was at the game and had a great time. Scrivens is a beast, but the red played terribly. IT WAS SO FUN THOUGH.</p>
<p>it wasn’t hard once you figured out how you work. the 2 grades that brought my gpa down were gen chem II (which is one of those classes where half of the class fails. and that’s a lot considering 1100 people took it last spring, no joke) and a B- my very first semester. don’t go crazy with your credit load and really take a look at the grading policies of each teacher. what’s your major going to be? i was a psych major and my LORs were really strong because i got to know my profs quickly. </p>
<p>as for the game, 2 of those BU goals were questionable. it seemed like the announcer and refs favored BU -_- whatever. we know who really won ;)</p>
<p>I just booked my room at the Country Inn & Suites, Ithaca, for Jan 16th-18th!!! I can’t wait!! My parents are bringing my dog Gus for the trip!!!<br>

<p>Based on facebook’s Cornell Spring 2009 group, ILR should be notifying this week. The first ILR person in that group was accepted Dec 5th!!! Crossing my fingers that it is so!</p>
<p>The timing would also make perfect sense since FinAid is suppose to be given early to mid December.</p>
<p>Thanks for the info, TFN. I spoke to Ian and he pretty much confirmed that by saying that they “hope to have all decisions made by the first or second week of December.”</p>

<p>wooo molly you’re so smart for booking so early. i should probably let my mom know that. i’m making the twins (my brothers) come up to drop me off if andy isn’t going to rush week, i’m going to make him stay home so i can have orientation week to myself and to make friends lol. i agree that we should all meet up. maybe we can make a private facebook group where we put our numbers?</p>
<p>well we have the transfer group, someone should start a thread there for phone numbers in ‘Discussions’, because we should definitely meet up for orientation stuffz or collegetown preview walks! (heck, I’ll do it, ha.)</p>
<p>Yeah, I’m pretty sure I’ll be out there starting Monday, Jan 18th. I better tell my parents to do the same thing with early booking! I’ll bet they’ll be there for the first two days…yikes, I had kind of a mini-sob when it dawned on me I’ll be away from home for the first time (I’ll get over it :P). </p>

<p>i don’t think my brothers and mom are going to stay. i think they’ll bring me up on the 18, drop me off, and then leave lol. unless the twins really want to stay, then maybe we’ll come up the weekend of the 16, too. and yeah, this will be the first time i’m away from home for a long time, but it’s like my second home already anyway lol. plus i’ll always have andy (ps, you guys are my CC loves, so i’m always around for you when we’re up there if you get lonely just come find me!) to keep me sane. i used to spend 10 weeks at a time in turkey though, so i guess not being home isn’t too horrible. the only difference being there’s no beaches for me to chill on at cornell lol</p>
<p>I will unfortunately have to be a business amnagement major, sicne they don’t have ILR at stony brook, or just about anywehre else in the country. I’ve always planned on taking 5 classes each semester. I have a friend who told me as long as I work its not out of the question for me to get a 4.0 my first semester.</p>
<p>so i bet everyone will hate me for this, but its not looking good for me attending in the spring… i havent sent in my deposit because they always said i had till 10 days after receiving my finaid, however i never got my finaid so i never sent in my deposit. so im going to call them tomorrow and be like “yo, can i still send that in?” and if they say “no your spots gone” im gonna tell them they suck and cry. </p>
<p>its not fair, i dont want to blow 400 on a deposit just to find out i got 0 in finaid. soooo hopefully they let me just send in my deposit late anyway… i never got a credit evaluation either. ***ffffff</p>
