well hopefully you’ll find out next week! and i don’t think anyone on here has gotten a GT yet, but it’s definitely possible for them to give them out.

and ohh lacey, i remember that you found out super late. i found out late, too, but definitely before you. i have a question for you actually. are you graduating in spring '12 now since you’re coming in in the spring of junior year?

and viola (if you even look at this anymore lol), i just remembered this kid i met who’s in ILR. he got in because he talked about how he was interested in the HR side of theater and wanted to work on broadway behind the scenes one day. it reminded me of your music interests and how you could have combined both. i guess it’s a little late now, but that’s something to think about i guess.

that’s so weird about self-service; most people on here who called confirmed that they wouldn’t be posting anything online O_o

serendipityxp - really sorry to hear that. I am really glad to see that you have a positive outlook!

east89 - I called ILR today and the woman I spoke with said that the ILR committee is meeting this week and notifications should be out as early as this Friday on self service. If not next week for sure. It is kind of funny because the first guy to hear back last spring was on Dec. 5th, this time some lucky applicants will be hearing Dec. 4th. A day earlier (well i guess cuz the next day would be Saturday)! I hope those lucky people are us ILR fanatics!

Yea I know it is strange. Its like totally opposite answers. Who did you speak with? I spoke to the first person to answer the phone. Also did the person you spoke with ask for your last name at the end of the convo because mine did. I felt that was kind of weird. I wonder why she asked?

Does Ian not do calls to notify transfers anymore? He didn’t do it last year only because he had the flu, but I figured he would this time around.

I am also upset housing wasn’t released. Or that my netID isn’t here. Or that I have to wait for financial aid to get here again. Or…[/rant]

Maclen, I’m predicting GT for you. One because it’s taking so long and that’s what Lacey got when hers took awhile, and two because I’m guessing in the middle of good(acceptance) and bad(rejection) so I can’t be blamed for any crazy happening. XD

Good luck to the (two?) remaining hotellies as well! Remember to join the FB group when you guys do hear word back, that way we’ll all be all nice and cozy with a group to lean on if you don’t make 80,00000000000 friends right away. Yes, there’s only one comma there.

if the ILR committee hasn’t even met yet, doesn’t that mean it’s still possible that ian will call? i’ve heard he’s nice

maclen, you could be anything at this point. you have lots of things going for you: 4.0, male, from california, strong writing skills. i’ve already given you my thoughts on your essays. if they said it hasn’t even gone for review yet, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. i told you that during transfer day they said some people might not know until january, so maybe you just were one of those unlucky few. don’t worry just yet.

anyway, good luck to everyone waiting!

ps incase anyone cares, i finished 2/3 of my massive assignments. just need to do the 8 page beast and then study and i’m good to go to bed woo

i feel your pain with housing big time. i want my single in becker/cook :(

slash i need to know if i need to fight with them for one
i promise i’ll call thursday, as i’m going to be on the phone with humec trying to get more credits to transfer over anyway. might as well call all of the cornell offices, right?

Yeah, I forgot, to answer your question I also requested a single on west. I actually requested ‘single-single-single-quad’.

1) because it didnt let me request all single without the page glitching
2) because i’d rather live with a group of guys than one (possibly creepy) roommate.

update: this paper is ruining my life at the moment. why is foucault so hard? and why couldn’t whoever translated this make it easier to understand when he/she changed it from french to english? maybe i should have read it in french

i kind of wish i liked history more, though, because i heard cornell’s history department is one of the best and taking a history class there is one of the best things you can do for yourself. shame.

if i had decided to rush for a sorority when i did my housing, i wouldve requested a single, but i requested a double, triple, single, quad.

color me crazy, but i dont wanna be aloneeee!! i figured i could attach to whatever roommate i got, but now i think i’ll rush so eh its whatever.
